Came across your original review (and by extension, this follow-up) because I'm looking into getting the lumbar pillow. Firstly, I really appreciate the transparency of these reviews - the positives and negatives laid out in a natural way were great to see! I'm currently using a cheap lumbar pillow from Amazon - which isn't doing the trick - because my last Secretlab Titan Evo (2022) just didn't have aggressive enough lumbar support, as you said. However, I purchased another one since my partner needed a new chair, and it seems like they secretly upgraded the Titan Evo series of chairs. They don't have any notice or listing of a "new model" like they did for the 2020 vs 2022 models, but there are some definite differences in the new one I purchased. Just comparing my original 2022 one to this new one, the manufacturing tolerances have improved significantly. My Titan Evo 2022 had the same armrest gap issue as yours, as well as the wobbly armrests. My 2022 chair also made a lot of creaking and squeaking within about a month of daily use just from adjusting my seating position or leaning back in the chair. I've had this new one for about 2 months, now, and there's no creaking or squeaking to be heard (not to say that this will continue to be the case, but I'll follow up in a year 😉) - and there's no armrest gap; the armrests are mounted almost exactly on both sides, and the only time the armrests push into the seat back is if the chair is tilted to 90-degrees or a smaller angle forward! When I got this chair, I didn't bother with the built-in lumbar support because the 2022 one was so weak; I just slapped the cheap third-party lumbar support pillow I had onto this and called it good. But these reviews inspired me to see if there were any changes to the lumbar support with this newer model since there have definitely been some improvements. So, I put my third-party pillow to the side, extended the built-in lumbar support, and I'll be damned: they increased the aggressiveness of the lumbar support, too! 😍 It's not a massive protrusion by any means, but there's 100% a noticeable difference in how much the lumbar support protrudes at max vs the 2022 chair. Another - maybe minor to some - difference is that the bottom seat cushion itself is a decent bit less firm. Both of my chairs are the leatherette variance, so it might be less noticeable with the SoftWeave fabric, but my butt is much happier in the new model. 😂 Lastly, the only slight downside to the new chair is that the magnetic headrest only has a 1-1/2" strip of magnet along the top of the back of the pillow, as opposed to the 2022 which has the entire backside as a magnetic surface. So, the headrest pillow does stick to the chair a little weaker than the 2022. But honestly, I'll take that trade-off any day for the rest of the improvements. I thought this all might be helpful information for you, or any other viewers that might stumble across your review(s). Not sure if it's worth buying a new model if you already have a 2022 and a second chair isn't needed, but knowing that they're continuing to make improvements is awesome. Either way, thanks for coming to my TEDxTalk, and thanks for the informative, honest, and concise reviews!
Thought I'd copy & paste my comment from your previous video about this chair, for anyone contemplating between the Regular and XL: I've recently had this XL chair and (so far so good) it is so perfect! My previous chair was the gaming chair Vertagear PL6000 which lasted almost 6 years. I'm 6ft 0.5" / 184cm and 16st/224lb / 101kg. There is by far plenty of room in this chair with the arm-rests set at their narrowest position. I've got the chair raised about half an inch / 2cm and my legs can easily touch the ground (I wear trousers with 33-34" inside-leg). Wonder how long it will last, as the seat itself, whilst brand new, is very very comfortable on the butt right now. As an electrician the only office chairs I've briefly sat on have all been really horrible compared to the gaming chairs I've had over the last almost 20 years.
I appreciate the priorities you had for this video! Straight to the point and seemingly completely unbiased. It’s hard to say for sure if large TH-camrs don’t inflate their opinion to fit the majority of their viewers for better view count and support. Thank you lad
Besides one of my ears getting lonely sometimes and me checking if my Oled had burn in, it was a great review. I´m also about 190cm in height and looking for chairs in the lower budget area probably wasnt a great idea. Secretlabs has a sale going on right now, and brings down the price of the chair to 589€ but I still wasnt quite sure. Your Videos sold me on the thing and I hope it turns out great. Thanks a lot in Advance! ^^
@@smoothiej I must say it takes a bit getting used to at first, since the chair is quite different from the ones I used before. Both the seat and back are a lot firmer than with cheaper chairs but that probably adds a lot to longlivety and posture. After testing it out for almost two months now I can say I don't regret the purchase at all and even sitting 8+ hours in the chair is no problem at all to me. I can completely recommend buying this chair ^^.
Thanks. I think more people need to do follow up videos to their reviews! (Sorry for the bad audio. Was using a new mic from Deity and messed up the audio channel settings in Premiere lol)
Funny I came across your video. I received mine 4 hrs ago, I am going to assemble it now. I am btw 1.91 cms and 103 kgs (sorry metric system here in Europe). Bit worried about creaking and lumbar support moaning issues I read about. We’ll see.
@@derekszyszka ok just finished. The chair is…heavy and as you said lacks lumbar cushion. Seating hard but ok with me, used to office chairs. Ill give it a 3 and a half stars until its been used properly. Take care see you around!
@@doubleohdutch2108 The chair foam will definitely break in and become more soft. Mine was SOO hard for at least a few months, but over a year laters it's quite nice. The lumber pillow is 100% needed for someone like me.

How you like the chair? I'm considering getting one as well since the chair I purchased is not that comfortable to my liking.
