Absolutely correct. Especially so as we get into our later years.

    Thank you!
I see that to adjust the suspension it’s probably something to do with the Dealership mechanic concerning that I would not try to do it without their expertise and explanation, but it was useful to ear what you tell about the subject. I usually appreciate a plusher ride.
I haven’t got the bike yet…they are already preparing it for delivery and probably in two weeks I’ll be all set 😎
Do you find the stock tyres slippery in the wet asphalt or they grip well on those weather conditions?
How do you find In general, the engine breaking on this bike? Strong and heavy or in normal riding you feel the need to use the breaks frequently to slow down the speed?
Currently I’m riding a BMW R nine T Scrambler and the final transmission is made by shaft drive as you probably know. I’m very used to it and I find it very competent. The engine braking is quite strong. Normally, final transmissions by chain are much smoother on the breaking intervention but every type of bike is different. I had a Triumph T120 two years ago, with the same engine that you have on yours, but I know that this same engine is tuned a little differently between different Triumph Bonneville models. Can you tell what’s your opinion about these subjects?
    It would be well appreciated!
    Thanks once again.
I also will take into consideration your advice about maintenance and cleaning of the suspension parts in order to obtain the best durability of the set!
    ✌🏻

Most of my riding has been in the winter season so far. So either wet or damp cold roads. The tires have done fine and handle well. But personally for this 80/20 style adventure tire I find the Michelin Anakee Adventure even better. So no need to hurry to swap out the tires if mostly road use.
I had a GSA 1250 before this bike. I’d say the engine braking is comparable. One thing I dislike is that the bike will idle in gear at 1500 rpm and 10 mph. I wish it wouldn’t raise the idle like this. It’s one of triumphs beginner rider features which don’t belong on this bike.
The transmission shifts very smoothly. The 1-2 shift is much closer together than the BMW’s was, so that smooths it up. Hopefully you’ll love the bike when you get it. Warning, that Metzeler is a little slick riding away from the dealer initially so be careful. It was fine after the first 10 miles were put on her b

Thank you shes looking good I have a question are you going to make a video on your Tail Tidy if not what kind is it including the turn singles which look great by the way and where did you get then and be safe on your travels

I’ll be doing a video on my mods in the future. But the tail tidy is Iconic, and the turn signals are Motogadget Moblaze Pins. I sourced the most my parts from A&J Cycles.

Your triumph dealer letting you walk out the door with a XE when you’re 5’7 is insane, unless they made it perfectly clear that you don’t have a dream of touching with both feet, which I highly doubt. I’m 6’5 with probably a 35” inseam and the XE fits me like a glove, I flat foot it perfectly with a very slight bend at the knee, it’s maybe the only bike I have ever sat on that felt like it was designed for my body type. I would say you need about a 34” inseam to be able to flat foot, and a 32” to tippy toe, really anything less than a 34” is going to be 1 footing, and dealers should make that clear to their customers.

I had to read your comment a few times. What I get from it is that you are a relatively inexperienced rider needing to gain a lot more skills from your thinking that a person needs to flat foot a bike. What more needing two feet on the ground.
In over 40 years of riding and racing on and off road, and having owned over 40 bikes, it’s less than a handful that I could flat foot. Most were tip toes on both side (or one foot on the ground.
My euro dealer is well aware of my background and experience.
May I suggest more rider training and opening your eyes to what others are riding?

@@charliestoybox2099 I wasn’t suggesting that you *needed* 2 feet on the ground, there was a part in the video where you mentioned being able to touch in the dealership because of the 0 preload, which I’m not going back to find obviously, but my comment was in response to something you said. I find it shady if a dealership lets someone purchase a giant motorcycle thinking they would be able to flat foot the bike and the person finding out later that they can’t. That’s pretty shitty, and from your video that’s what it sounded like happened to you. No, I wasnt suggesting you need to be able to flat foot a bike, thats common sense even for someone that’s never ridden a motorcycle before. So while I go take your suggested motorcycle classes, maybe you can go work on your reading comprehension because I have no clue what you’re even talking about, it appears you’ve construed something entirely different from my comment’s intention. I was responding to something you said in your video, particularly about someone being able to touch with 0 preload in the dealership and finding out later that they can’t. Does that mean they magically can no longer ride the motorcycle? No, because that’s fucking stupid and of course I don’t think that. Also, I’m literally watching you ride the motorcycle so that conclusion is, odd, to say the least.

😂 oof, a lot to unpack here. I'm 5'7" with a 30" inseam and the XE is about the perfect height. I struggle with the XC being too low to for anything technical.
Either way, they are both relatively low bikes.

If you’re an inexperienced rider…all that inseam, seat height, one, two foot bull-sh*t can matter. When you can actually ride, all that shit is secondary. I’ve road w/guys the size of petite women that ride their GS1250’s like a damn dirt bike. Same guys will hop on an R1 at Road Atlanta and friggen gag us sitting still.

@@ChrisDavis333 I could never flat foot that bike even as it sat with zero preload. After adding preload I can still tip toe both sides but I flat foot one side like I do most bikes. The dealer never passed off the bike as being something that I could flat foot, so they aren’t a shitty dealer. By the way, my inseam is a measly 30”, and I’ve ridden even taller bikes off road quite easily. How comfortable a person is on any bike comes down to experience and developing the proper skills.
