- What happened to my Abu Garcia Vengeance Baitcast Rod? Here is an update! After fishing it for about 5 months, I noticed my line was getting seriously frayed. After looking at the tip, it was obvious what was happening. The tip on my vengeance rod was breaking apart and the sharp edges were cutting my line. So it was time to replace it. I am using a Fuji tip replacement kit and we will have to see how it works. Also in the video, I pick the winners for the fishing lure giveaway! Make sure you are entered for the new giveaway as well. The Abu Garcia vengeance baitcast rod was great, hopefully it will continue to work well after this.

Rod tip repair is about as realistic as it gets. The average guy doesn't always have the cash to just run out and buy new tackle, so videos like these are greatly appreciated.
You know you’re realistic, when you refer to the YUM Dinger instead of a Senko. Love the show
The surprise at how easy that was when you pulled the broken guide off was super realistic. Another quality video.
If one suspects that the ceramic on their tip or the other line guides are damaged, just take a cotton swab, place it on the ceramic within the guide and rotate it. If the cotton snags, then you know you have a damaged guide. Also, on occasion, wet a cotton swab to clean the guides too. Great video Alex!
