- So, i'm coming at you with a bit of a crack tinfoil hat theory. That Wish, as in Ahsa's arc within the film, is going to be the origin story of the Blue Fairy. The one from Pinocchio. A massively iconic character. And look, the theory is a bit weak. But I figured, why not give it a crack and see what people think? Anyway, enjoy.

Maybe she is like the founder to a wishing fairy/ fairy godmother wish grating league or something, connecting the wishing fairy from Pinocchio and the fairy godmother from Cinderella, and the uniform is to wear blue
I wondered what more connections we'd see to the wishing star, though I think the blue fairy ia a separate entity. Plus I feel like if Asha was her, her color would be blue instead of purple to kind of hint at it.
So this rheory could work more with disney remake?

Very close! It was an origin story for Cinderella's Fairy Godmother, the Wishing Star, the Magic Mirror from Snow White, and possibly all of the talking animals in the Disneyverse. It was epic lol. 🥰
6:05 it's actually a silver dress, the dress is blue only in marketing, but the actual dress from the movie is silver
It's probably the fairy godmother from cinderella!! In the ending scene when Asha gets the wand from star and someone says "you can be our fairy godmother," the way she responds is comically simiĺar to the way Cinderella's fairy godmother talks and laughs. Their outfit shades aren't too far off from eachother, she wears a hood, and their skin color and faces are similar. This could be like a prequel to Cinderella
Wish upon a Star would have been a better title than Wish. It's more searchable and it captures what makes the movie unique to Disney

I agree with you that it looks seems like a good theory but why did they go with the dark colored carrier to become the blue fairy? It's just kind of funny.

I like to think that Asha and Blue (which I would nickname the Blue Fairy sometimes) act as something like reincarnations something akin to Avatar and that Asha is just one of her incarnations
But hey that's just ridiculous
I mean hey people make theories that Tarzan's Anna and Elsa's lost brother, Melody being the mother of the Prince from Cinderella and that explaining the shell from Cinderella 3
If one remembers Pinocchio well enough, the Blue Fairy answers to Geppeto's wish for Pinocchio to be a real boy, having seen him as deserving for it because he gave a lot of happiness to others, then brought Pinocchio to life, but didn’t automatically make him a real boy. Pinocchio still had had to earn the wish by proving himself brave, truthful, and unselfish.
That's what being a fairy godmother is really all about. Not granting wishes, but bringing comfort, guidance, and an extra push.
The fact her name is Asha. Kinda like Aisha from Winx Club. Makes me think…
I don't think this theory is true because the blue fairy and Asha look very different, and Cinderella's dress is silver or white or grey not blue cause it doesn't look blue in the Cinderella film and maybe an alternate theory is that the wishing star is actually the blue fairy I mean the wishing star could have manifested itself into the blue fairy and goes around making their wishes come true and it's a wishing star which grants wishes so it's possible and the wishing star must have taken that job from king magnifico because it's a wishing star and if you still don't believe this theory it's fine. I find my theory and this vids theory possible. What do you think of my theory?

It's more likely that she is the fairy godmother. They both are a bit clumsy with magic and have a blue cloak and a similar laugh.
Honestly, I honestly just believe that Asha's destiny is to be the next fairy godmother for Cinderella, And granted the fairy grandmother from the Cinderella is a White Lake Hey, in brandy's edition, she's played by Whitney Houston, so this could be a preco. To the fairy god mother's backstory

Dud she's the fairy godmother from Cinderella or maybe a descendant, at the end of wish the outfit matches the fairy godmother from Cinderella. I do not know the main character's name from wish but she quoted at the end of the movie she can be a fairy godmother. And plus why would she be a fairy if she's human
