I use to work at the Universal City Hilton back in the late 80's. Glad to hear you love that hotel. The service and Cafe Sierra is top notch. I loved working at that hotel.
We stayed there a couple nights in 2019 and loved it. We were in room 1865, a little further around toward Universal. Didn’t realize we had pictures of the hill with the Hollywood sign until I watched this. We went to Disneyland for 4 days after that, right after Galaxy’s Edge had opened. Fun and memorable trip.

The terrain & Med-type climate of SoCa/LA give off a different vibe. Even the landscape is slightly different because of the weather. Although brief images of parts of Fla & parts of Ca sometimes look interchangeable, the wetter climate on the East Coast also makes certain shrubbery (extraterrestrial-looking plants) found in the LA area, etc, not as easily sustainable in parts of Fla
We were just at this hotel (swimming pool view) 13 days ago and I LOVE the Crabtree & Evelyn soaps and lotions...they smell SO good! Our room was super spacious...we were on the 15th floor. Wasn't happy about the crowds at Universal...there was a long wait for everything, bathrooms, foods and rides..with an autistic son that was very difficult. But the room was so relaxing and their pool is heated and the hot tub is spacious...plenty of seating and towels. Great experience, great hotel! (We also got free waters lol)
Universal needs some more expansions asap. Good news is that a new coaster is getting built. Hopefully, we get another Nintendo expansion in the future as well.

Seeing the Universal Hilton brings back memories of my business travel to Hollywood. Loved the Hilton and the views down in Universal Studios. Stayed there for 3 months closing down a business.
Hey Adam, The Sheraton is nice too. I like the vibe at the Sheraton better than the Hilton, but the Hilton has a better view and shorter walk to the park. The shuttle leaves the park, goes to the Sheraton, then to the Hilton, and back to the park area.
We are coming from Australia and staying a couple nights at the Hilton so we are loving all your universal, knotts and Hilton content at the moment. :D
You should definitely try out the Sheraton Universal on your next LA trip. One interesting fact about the Sheraton, is that the actor Telly Savalas lived on the top floor of the Sheraton for the last 20 years of his life, and then passed away there in 1994.
@TheDailyWoo He used to hang out at the downstairs bar almost all the time, watching sports games on the bar tv. I think the Sheraton hotel even named the bar after him as well.
HEY ATW...I WAS HOPING YOU WOULD DO A ROOM REVIEW of your Hollywood Hilton Hotel accommodations. What a beautiful place to stay when visiting Universal Studios Hollywood. The oast time we went, I cheaped out and got a motel across the street . It was one of the worst experiences of our life. Now, I realize how important it is to pay the extra amount to stay in a nice place, even if it is for one night. Your room reviews are more valuable than you realize so folks know where the nice places are to retire for the night and know the room is clean and comfortable. Thanks pal.
Crazy to think that this was the exact same day I brought my family to Universal Studios for my youngest daughter's birthday and could have been on one of them trams that you were filming from the hilltop.
Loved your 100000% right on assessment that living on that hillside and looking down into that little section of the backlot tour would get sooooooooo old after a very short period of time. As they say… watch out what you wish for, you may just get it.
Went on vacation myself and first thing I did when I got home was catch up Adam’s vlogs. Forget unpacking!!!🤟. One of my favorite binge watches with my piping hot coffee

When I was younger. There was so much smog/pollution in Los Angeles that some of those views were non existent. It’s amazing what California has done for better air quality
That looks like a great place to stay. Last Sept we stayed at the Roosevelt for a concert at the Hollywood Bowl and could see the Hollywood sign/Chinese Theater from our room window. It was very cool and has a lot of history. Glad we got the chance to stay there.
I've been in the travel industry for a couple decades, not to follow youtube trends, but I agree with Adam. My next LA trip is split with the Queen Mary and Hilton Universal. Great view of HHN!!

When I lived in Sherman Oaks I had a yearly pass to Universal Studios. I realized the tram took us by the hotel in the Nancy Drew Hardy boys episode where they stayed there and did some fun with the back lot tour. Back in 77 no cable. Watched Nancy Drew every week fairly sure it is the Hilton from the photos. Universal Hollywood . I left before Harry Potter but did get to ride the King Kong ride and see Jurrasic ride the first month it opened. Thanks Adam. El pollo loco. Used to be delicious.

Well heck-it take the ole rental car to the ACTUAL santa susana pass, kinda interesting. Spent many years driving between Simi Valley to Topanga Canyon back in the 1970’s before the 118 FWY.

Adam, you should consider using the luggage stand for you suitcase. Bed bugs can't climb the metal stand. Even nice hotels like the Hilton could have bed bugs.

My Great Grandmother moved to Los Angeles with her son from Boston. I think she liked it (hard to tell with her) She was not a fan of the Hollywood sign! 😂 She loved avocado and demanded it when she came back to visit her other sons! Too bad, avocados were not to be found in the Northeast in the 1950s! 😝
Yes...there is a giant pit in front of it..they fill it with water for water or ocean scenes. The scene from Sully was filmed there. The backdrop often serves as clouds or what appears to be an endless ocean. So many movies filmed there.

Question for you Adam: In this video, you started to say that you were going to go into the park without your camera, then not much after said you would be taking your phone "just in case", do you think at this point in your filming life you're kind of addicted to filming things? I was tempted to use my phone but just decided not too . Yes it’s muscle memory at this point and attempt on occasion to not film during parts of the day
Stayed last year at the Sheraton for HHN for a week, had VIP tours all week and RIP tours at night, it was a blast and the room was nicer than the hilton and had tons of cool decor in the hallways giving it that hollywood vibe, Loved the Suite they gave us overlooking the park and Hogwarts from one of the top floors, man what a great time. Hilton had a nicer lobby and more accommodations I felt but Concierge was amazing

That's a photo of the Manhattan Beach pier. There's a small aquarium exhibit in that building. It's nice to visit.

Yes...there is a giant pit in front of it..they fill it with water for water or ocean scenes. The scene from Sully was filmed there. The backdrop often serves as clouds or what appears to be an endless ocean. So many movies filmed there.

Question for you Adam: In this video, you started to say that you were going to go into the park without your camera, then not much after said you would be taking your phone "just in case", do you think at this point in your filming life you're kind of addicted to filming things?

I was tempted to use my phone but just decided not too . Yes it’s muscle memory at this point and attempt on occasion to not film during parts of the day

Stayed last year at the Sheraton for HHN for a week, had VIP tours all week and RIP tours at night, it was a blast and the room was nicer than the hilton and had tons of cool decor in the hallways giving it that hollywood vibe, Loved the Suite they gave us overlooking the park and Hogwarts from one of the top floors, man what a great time. Hilton had a nicer lobby and more accommodations I felt but Concierge was amazing
I've stayed in that room (or one just like it). I second your recommendation.

I was just watching on an interview with Ginger Alden. Elvis Presley's girlfriend when he passed. They showed a picture of her with two men, one of which looked just like you. Is that really you in a picture with Ginger?
