      Hey how are you? I tried the recipe I followed step by step, how ever the mixture never got thicker for me I don't know why, so any tips to help me out? Thanks

      Eddy Fanini , my apologies. I missed your comment. The trick is to find the correct balance between cohesiveness and fluffiness. We tried it a few times before we found the right balance. All the measurements we shared with you have been tested. The ingredients might vary from country to country. It is just trial and error method. Let me know if it worked. Happy cooking!!!

      Thanks Jeff!!! Frankly speaking, we have been trying to make this recipe three times. At the beginning we used flour instead of cornstarch. It wasn't tasty. Finally, we found the right proportion of ingredients. This Leche Frita recipe is so yummy and fluffy. Enjoy!

    Incredible recipe! I had heard of "leche frita," and I knew that it was a solid, but I had no idea how it was done. It seems like this is similar to a pastry cream with a lot more cornstarch (and no eggs) than usual?
    I loved the overhead camera angles. It gave an incredible vantage point.
    This video was very, very well done.

    • @AKitchenAdvisor
      @AKitchenAdvisor  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Parnell The Chef , thank you for stopping by. Yes, cornstarch is added but be extremely cautious with it. We made this recipe 3 times to find the right proportion of thickener. There are just 2 eggs for coating. Try it and you won’t regret. Happy cooking:-)

    • @AKitchenAdvisor

      Hi Eddy, try this approach. After removing the orange and lemon skin from the milk, put stove on low temperature and keep cooking milk with cornstarch while you are blending it. Hopefully it will help you to make it thicker. Let me know if it worked. Happy cooking:-)

    can this be made the day before serving? if so, is reheating simply warming it in the over for a few minutes?

    • @AKitchenAdvisor
      @AKitchenAdvisor  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hi Franca! Yes, of course you can make it a day before your party. It is not needed for Leche Frita to warm it up before serving. But, anyway, if you want to make it fresh and serve warm, cook the milk soufflé a day before and leave it in the fridge overnight (watch our video recipe up to 4:05). Then finish cooking on the next day (video recipe starting from 4:05 up to the end). Buen provecho!!!

    Seems like an excessive amount of cornstarch to me

    • @AKitchenAdvisor
      @AKitchenAdvisor  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Will Dwyer , that’s a valuable feedback. Yes, there’s is a tradeoff between shape and quantity of cornstarch we used. By trial and error method we found an optimum proportion. I hope it helps. Happy cooking.
