Damn bro... i thought toyotas are simple to diy... this 1gd is too much hassel for me.... my country has poor diesel fuel quality and unideal road condition to "burn" the dpf soots properly, i guess the 2.7 petrol version is more convinience to maintain.

The squeaky noise can be heared inside on the dpf, its because of the restriction since its full.

Some of those hilux are on recall dpf
Your dpf now is block so you need to take it to your nearest toyota dealer for the dpf replacement

hi, no it is not but toyota has recalled these DPFs and injector assembly together so basically this is covered under Toyota warranty.

Theres a restriction inside cause the filter is full mate , some can cause squeaking noise and some are not

Yeah bro , thats the problem if youre fuel is not that good cause it will always cause trouble on the dpf

Try replacing it in a bloody Prado with the same 1GD engine. You will hate Toyotas.
Only prado is quite more difficult because of the space but hilux and fortuner with the same engine, very easy
not just that but Prado warranty time is 3.5 hours compared to 5 of Hilux.
I took mine off to clean it and lost it😵💫
