      I was around the same age as those kids in 1995. I'm 31 now and my mom just turned 61.

      I don't know about senior citizen... she looked like she was maybe in her late 30s early 40s so she'd maybe be in her 60s now.

      I was around 14. I remember watching the patriots lose the last game of the season and missing the wild card slot. I then watched the film "Scrooged" with my fam.

    This reminds me of shopping with my mom around this time (I was a teenager but my siblings were close to those kids’ age). What a trip. Seeing her checkbook, her hair & outfit and the sounds…. A time trip for sure! ❤

    Great video, I love how the kids are so well mannered and good well until the end and not a bonnet in sight lol was around 5yrs old, lived in a small town and I don’t remember us ever going to target. Maybe we didn’t have one lol need to ask my mother.

    I was 2 years old when this was filmed and sometimes when I want into Target now I miss looking at the neon lights they had up on the wall. I remember my mom would let me get one hotwheel and a chocolate bar of my choice good memories.

    Going by the date the mom writes down on her check, this was December 18, 1995, I was 12 and that was one of the most memorable, fun times and Christmas seasons of my life at the time. Also I still have that exact Coca-Cola polar bear plush you can start to see by the register in the check out area in Target starting around 12:55 .Can't remember if mine came from Target but it's definitely been in my family since around this time. Also love how Target, just like Walmart, looks pretty much exactly the same as today.

      I remember my middle school sold the little Coca-Cola Polar Bear plushes 🐻‍❄️ at the school store in 1995. The plush represents the Coca-Cola commercials that were shown during the holiday season at the time. The Coca-Cola commercials featured two Polar Bears sitting in the snow drinking Coca-Cola cokes together.

    I worked at a Herberger's store from 1994-98, my favorite retail job ever. Was a small store but very nice. I remember those pages over the loudspeaker too, 20 meant a "manager"! I also shopped there quite a bit when I wasn't working. Thanks for this video, was a fun memory to relive! 😄

      ⁠there are more computerized parts in vehicles now. You have to constantly stay updated on technology, so it was easier to work on cars back then even if they did break down more often. One make of car was not that different to repair than another.

    I had just graduated highschool in spring of 95 .... this wasnt me and my (then) future sons in 95 but it was me with my niece and nephew ... roughly the same ages as these children. I took them with me EVERYWHERE my sister would let me .... now they are all grown up, my niece has a girl and a boy these ages today. ❤

    Man.... my local Target was around 6 months old at this time. And it's the oldest Target in the region, coming off as the "old" Target that still looks like the early 2000's.

    No smartphones. People had actual meaningful face to face conversations. Prices were reasonable, rent was affordable, my grandparents were alive and living in their beautiful house just west of Easton Minnesota in the country, Mom was alive, coherent, loving and healthy, triumphing as a fresh mother to me and my brother, as I was only 3 years old. Pierce Brosnan was the current James Bond. In other words, 1995 was golden compared to the dire days of 2023 that the world is now experiencing . RIP 1990s

      Also, no porn, at least not like it is today, easily accessible with the internet. If you wanted porn, either you have to go to an adult store or order some magazines. Porn has done a lot of damage to society.

      True true. I was 12. I think there's always nostalgia with the past (I think there's even a term for it that I've forgotten..."rosy retrospect", perhaps?) but even that being said, social media and smartphones really have turned entire generations absolutely insane. Then you sprinkle some biden on top and you really have one helluva raging dumpster fire.

    I was in jr high and my parents drove us to Denver from CA for Christmas to visit my grandparents. We had to cut the trip short because my mom started getting really sick. When we got home she found out she was pregnant with my little sister who is going to be 27 this year. 😢

    1995, age 23. This was around the time I started noticing Target stores appearing in Philly-SNJ. First one I saw was in Burlington NJ, then Marlton, Mount Laurel and throughout the Delaware Valley. In the 2000s I bought my KitchenAid appliances and best silverware there. I rarely shop there now.

    This was the good old days. I was a small child in the 90s. I remember loving going to Toys R us. Now, these stores just want your money, they don't care about you at all anymore. It's inhumane. I only go there now for essentials because as I got older, I realized the more important things in life.

      @@thevalkyrie1477 The 90's definitely had it's share of nasty people willing to fight you over a parking spot or something equally petty, I was a child and young teen in those years and will not let nostalgia blind me to the point that I'd lie and say it was some peaceful utopia, but I will say in many ways it was better than today. The only thing good about the 2020s is some of the medical advancements and some of the faster tech. Other than that I'd take the 90's over now.
