Just wanted use my space heater and it didn't work anymore. It was sitting unused for over a year, apparently that wasn;t good for it. Easy fix once the issue was found. (c) 2019 www.dynoguy,co.uk
Thanks Rob,....we will be at home the next week or so, feel free to pop over. Reminds me that i need to have a closer look at your motor, but from my initial tests, i think it's electrically ok
any idea why my clarke xr210 not sparking on start up .fan motor comes on instantly but no fuel spraying .so could this act as a cause to stop ingniter. they have a pcb board that does my head in. could the thermal switch cause igniter not to function if faulty.and is it possable to bypass to see. not that electrically minded appreciate help
First thing to do is get rid of any old fuel you have in it unless it's been treated with a stabilizer of some kind (Stabil or Seafoam) Most people don't know this but you should really clean your unit up before using it each fall. Change the filters on the pump and fuel line (there's one on the end of the hose in the tank) These units, kept clean will run for years and years without any problems if kept serviced properly. Learn how to adjust your pump by looking up the pressure setting (listed on the side panel) Check the fuel and pressure hoses for cracks.
A year can be rough on something like that. All in all a thankfully uneventful routine bit of repair. I see now how utilitarian the heaters are, so the less than pristine fuel makes sense. How long does it run on a tank of fuel?
Thanks. Some good tips.
You did good!
Cheers.
You soon got that going, Al & I will have to get over to see you, great show keep em coming.

I takes about 2 litres an hour, so that's just under 10 hour from a tank .... Merry Christmas
Duraheat 75k BTU's lasts us a couple hours anyway. Longer than I personally would have expected
