god, the crowd was not ready for this...
Read my mind!! Not sure back then I would of been either!
Imagine that being the first time you hear that song, and it was live!! They killed it!!
maybe coz its in Québec Canada
Well, they're Canadian
Dude it was a new song at the time. The album wasn't even out
lol "a new one from discovering the waterfront."
haha I was thinking the same thing.
I was 10 when he said that... damn hahaha
@@leandroantunes2044 yup i was 12 but had the album. janitors son at school was about 20 at the time and burned me this CD been hooked ever since
Makes me feel old af.
I need a lip ring after hearing this
Damn that snare sounds good
Tight
POP! SNAP!
God I fucking MISS this era of music
It's crazy to hear how Shane's voice has improved
His high/ mids were made for this genre specially live he’s was soo good
@@rafaeldiaz8129I’m sure he can do lows too
It's so insanely hard to sound this good live. All the props to Silverstein.
man Paul is such a good drummer.....
he was 22 when discovering the waterfront was released
One of the best
Early 2000s man time went fast, we were young early to mid 20s now we are in our 40s.
The crowd was not prepared for this tune to become an absolute bop.
They stayed at my house in Hampton, VA in 2001 or 2002 when they were touring for When Broken is Easily Fixed- and have never stopped getting better.
this still bangs in 2021
And 2022😘
Don’t forget 2023
@@drmike5325 and 2024
@@turquoiseturkey6710yes!
Still been my favorite band
Shane Told is one of the best vocalist I've ever seen preform live. Dude has lungs for days.
The crowd was not ready
What a good time for being alive
i love it when drummers live are full with adrenaline and play the songs hella fast at the beginning xD
I remember discovering Silverstein in 2006, such an awesome band, I still listen to them this day
And here comes the time...I saw them live yesterday with Discovering the Waterfront Tour.
They're about to do their 15 year anniversary DTW/20th anniversary tour this coming year haha
@@brandongauger4050 did they or was it cancelled?
@@Ricanson21 they started it, but postponed till next year half way through
@@brandongauger4050 damn😓
I remember playing the hell out "when broken" in like 03 or 04. Getting one of those victorvtv sampler dvd's, the one i got was the episode hosted by jt of Hawthorne heights. Smile in your sleep music video was on it. Silverstein came to town to our local little run down venue in a tour bus. Adtr was the opening band with their for those who have heart album. Blessthefall when it was still Craig singing. Talked to Neil about his dimebag cfh pedal and asked him if Gibson would allow him to bring a dean or Washburn on stage. Talked to Josh about Canadian maple syrup. Seen bill reluctantly refuse to sign a recovering cancer patients woman's arm because he didn't want her to get it tattooed on her. Life sure has changed
oh my childhood was buried here,. how i miss those times when i was younger
snarestein-snare in your sleep
This is the best version!!! Omg!!
This IS!
Just saw them recently for their anniversary tour. Man, I wish I was old enough to attend these concerts when I was younger :(
Me and you both I was 10 when this came out lol
@@josemeneses7691 me too lol would of been tossed around crowd surfing but worth it

these were the times.
This is one of first songs live 3 I love Shane hes from my hometown in Burlington I met him at the Burlington YmCa
Still listening to this in 2022
After watching this I looked down and realized I had magically changed into an Element tshirt and skinny jeans with a checkered belt.
God I’d love to see the rest of this set
Just thought this song always existed.

Can’t move on 2022 here
“New record” damn I wish I could’ve been there when it dropped, coming from a 22 year old in 2022

The kid standing motionless in the back in sandals has no soul
Keep it alive.
💕
Hopefully they play next year in Feb, unless they cancel and reschedule again. I bought tickets for the House of Blues! ❤️❤️🔥
Crazy amazing! Better than the album version
wow
They actually sound amazing live...pretty impressive..not as good as studio version but pretty close!
is it possible that they are fuckin´ awesome live?
Yes it is...despite too much treble in the recording.
Jesus christ that voice
These guys where the Emo Lincoln park imo...
2020? Still..
When the live version is just so much better than the studio version!!
'A new song that's gonna be in stores...' so obsolete :-(
I wanna know how the guitar play the intro?
at the end of the bridge what does he say? it doesn't sound like "as you lie"
"Chris brown
He sounded so rough. He’s become such a great vocalist😂
1:03
It's crazy that not a soul in that crowd was singing along 😂
New song, nobody knew it lil bro. They all sang for Smashed into pieces in the same set
Sleepy ass crowd surf 😂
Are they playing at a cemetery? Wake the corpses up!
Silverstein or Hopes Die Last..
only 300bc kids would remember this
Billy wants to speak to your manager
im gay for this drummer
their live performance does not sound as good as the recordings though.or is it just poor audio quality?
ajrany This was 10 years ago. Shane's voice has matured and gotten WAY better.
Different structure from studio album, but their play on stage is just fine, i see no issues.
Need the guitars need to be a little louder
pero qué pasa con la gente que no poguea
Sounds like it was in studio version
I like him he's like an emo mike myers...
croud is wack yo lol
Crowd so dead lol
Terrible crowd jeezus
worst crowd
It was a new song back then, they haven't heard it yet
