hey harstem, I have a video request. I have a general understanding of starcraft, and my favorite race is protoss, but I'm not that good at the game. I was wondering if you could make a video about safe strategies that protoss can use vs each race (I don't need the exact build orders as I can look those up, but I don't know what build orders to default to), as well as major pieces of information that we can pay attention to when scouting that should raise alarm bells. I want to build a strong foundation rather than trying to cheese myself up, but I don't know what strategies are considered safe
You should really check out Pigs Bronze to GM protoss. My friend taught me how to play, kind of, im toss hes terran, we played doubles a lot and was stuck in bronze, after I watched pigs b2gm, within couple months I managed to get to diamond with him, and my 1v1 is right on plat 1 diamond edge. I did used to play SC1 though.
I've been trying a PvT build order at D2 I have no idea if it's good or not, but I've had some success Its a proxy gate + robo with a sentry before warp gates finishes and a sentry after it finishes. You hit their expand with a bunch of adepts+immortal to bunker bust, and you can use guardian shield to tank and forcefield to force their scvs away from bunker/trap their army on the ramp. If they pull scvs they lose all of them because adepts + guardian shield is really tanky. I deny/kill their expand for a while but struggle into surviving their follow up.

This reminds me of a build BeastyQT used to do, with double proxy robo plus shield battery. Kind of a spin on the proxy Stargate void ray build.
