Merry Christmas. Seeing Amiga CD32 surprised me. I have been in that shop before, but never seen old Commodore or Amiga stuff. The CD32 wasn't widely released due to a lawsuit Commodore was fighting in the USA. It was gaining traction in Europe when Commodore went bankrupt. It had a lot of potential, but the AGA graphics didn't have 3D and the Playstation was coming in just a year or two. Still, the CD32 had kind of a modular, expandible design based on the Commodore 1200 computer, so there was a huge software library that could have been quickly ported, as well as a ton of software houses that were already familiar with how to maximize the ability of the hardware.
We have been to that underground mall a zillion times. You weren't terribly far from what I refer to as "little Jakarta." There are a ton of Indonesian workers that frequent that mall, and as a result there are Indonesian buffet restaurants galore. The food at many of them is outstanding... unlike Korean food in Taiwan that tends to be interpreted, Indonesian food is usually prepared for Indonesians by Indonesians and is completely authentic, though sometimes cuts of meat may vary from what you might find in Indonesia.
