That poor elephant swaying 😢 typically you see that behaviour with horses who have been confined to their stall for too long and they feel stressed, bored or frustrated

This is sort of a late reply, but I'm Taiwanese and have visited the Taipei zoo many times. I've actually seen this behaviour in that particular elephant several times. Don't worry too much tho, he only does it at around noon, and it's because their partner/kid is about to be released from another enclosure to join them in the wider area. I don't know why the zoo separates the elephants like this (prevent rivalry?), but either way, what you are seeing is an elephant anxiously waiting to meet their friend on that particular day. when they finally get together, he usually trumpets quite loudly, you can hear it from all across the zoo (which is saying something, because the taipei zoo is gigantic)

There is a zoo in Japan where you can walk around with and pet and feed capybaras. CDawg & Ludwig went there on the RV trip streams.
I love Taipei so much. I stayed near Da'an park for four weeks... I miss it.

Not to be that guy, and I'm certainly not an expert but I'm pretty sure that elephant swaying back and forth is a sign that it's in distress. It's unfortunately common in captive elephants.

The animal at 00:54 is actually a Reeves’ muntjac rather than a dikdik! Dikdik have very petite features and are *really* tiny, whereas this gal looks pretty sturdy and has a longer face with squarer features. Muntjac are native to Taiwan and China :) The males also have absolutely wild horns.
Dikdik might be petite but I'm sure they have a nice personality

Y’all should go to the Henry Doorly Zoo//Aquarium (which has a big underwater tunnel) in Nebraska. It’s HUGE and THE BEST Zoo in America!!!! 10/10 recommend (unless you get tired easily lol)
