I love this guy. It was love at first listen. I am a first timer. This guy would be a blast to take dining and dancing. I bet he has some fantastic dance moves, like his pallet ballet.
Incredible talent. It seems to just flow out of him without effort. I thought it would be a lot like Bob, given that Bill taught him this technique, but Bill is completely unique.
The technique is the same but Bill's work is far more interesting to me. I can't really articulate what it is, but his paintings do it for me. The student did not exceed the teacher.
One thing that would improve this channel tremendously, is giving the episodes numbers and seasons more organization because I’ve been looking for this particular episode for quite a while

The distant mountain is just spot on. I was watching him when i was little probably 45 years ago I am 57 and i am a professional artist as a career and i still look at this man in awe !

It’s funny to me how Bill’s mountains are so very sharp and rugged as I imagine the mountains are where he grew up, but Bob Ross paints his mountains smoother more like the Alaskan ranges he loved so much. I enjoy them both very much.
@@Skyfighter94 Yeah these ones definitely strike me as northern European mountains. I've been to the Yukon near the border of Alaska, and the mountains look much different there.
Reminds me of my mountains. I even have mountains and glacier painting I used Patagonia as reference for. And I've not seen any real mountains in person before. 😅
bobs show wasn't really about painting, what made bob ross popular wasn't painting, it was bob himself, no doubt bill is a better painter but bob is about helping people relax, relaxation and stress relief if what bob is a master of...bill is agressive, loud, intense...i like his painting a lot better but there's no relaxation with bill, its all agressive and intense...bob is the master of helping people relax, its like taking a tranquilizer when bob paints..so there's no comparison..they're the opposite....most people who watch bob ross aren't painters and not interested in the painting, they're interested in bobs style and ability to make people relax..simple as that.
I get that crap stuck in my throat too, which is particularly annoying when I decide to do art by singing. What I've found that works the best is to have a little alcohol to wash it out of your vocal cords. My theory is that the stuff that gets stuck doesn't wash down with water because it's a little bit more oil-soluble but alcohol can dislodge it enough for you to swallow it. It always helps me sing a clear note, plus it gets rid of my stage fright for the most part.

Bill grew up in East Prussia (former part of German Empire). East Prussia is completely flat. Not even a tiny hill anywhere.
