- #VogueSewingPatterns new Spring 2023 Collection was released last week and let's say this collection is an absolute winner. I feel it has something for everyone. In this video, I paired the newly released sewing pattern with its high end designer inspired look featuring designers such as Valentino, Carolina Herrera and Dolce & Gabbana.

Right now, I'm trying to decide which patterns to get and stay within my budget that I set up for patterns. I know I want that Julio Cesar 9yd dress , and the Zimmerman inspired top and dress pattern are coming home with 😊.
Keep up the good work. Tell Carlos we need designer inspired handbags, like that Dior tote, the saddle bag, and maybe reissue that pattern that had all the designer inspired bags would be great 😊.

good choices on those patterns!!!! I don’t quite know if they can design patterns for high end designer handbags or if it would get into a copyright issue… I suspect that is the case.

Now you know! If you notice the patterns are very close… but not the same, hence why I say inspired. The nice thing is that we can make the changes ourselves on those patterns and voila… we have the same design. Thank you for watching!

LOL, I look at it for 3 minutes and I say no, no and no. BUT then I take my time, and I really look at it calmly and I tell myself woah there is a lot here. That Julio Cesar gown…. you can just use the skirt portion with a body suit and go off on your way. The bodice can be used on its own with a peplum or the dress as designed. It is really well done. Glad you liked the video.
I rewatched this video for the second (maybe third) time and after purchasing V1936. I love the cutouts but will be making and wearing this gorgeous dress with a nice slimming bodysuit. The deep v neck and cutouts are perfect for a much slimmer figure :) .
I was really happy with this collection. Fingers crossed the next fall collection is as amazing as this one was.

I enjoyed the way you put the patterns in the context of the high-end designer inspiration pieces. That helps them make more sense. Honestly, almost every reviewer of the collection I have seen so far didn't care for most of them. Clearly, Vogue is not about everyday style. 😄But we all know that's what make them unique.
Those last two sentences, you hit the nail in the head. It is not about every day style at all!!! There are so many good ones in here, and I love how he gave us the real thing and then a version of it. Like the maxi yellow Valentino shirt dress. That length is just not practical but the shorter length is. Sandra Betzina’s top with the lantern sleeves was interesting too, I didn’t even talk about that one.

As for buying: I'm getting that wrap skirt pattern also the yellow shirtdress and--maybe--that Julio dress.
I’m so getting that wrap skirt myself. its beautiful. you can make it in a beautiful silk mikado fabric pair it with an amazing top and you can go to a gala. Or do the shorter length with a pair of scrappy sandals, cute spring cardigan top and off you go. It is such a good one.

I enjoyed this. I always look at the patterns and think "I can't pull that off" but maybe if I study the original I could... I'm have to see. I liked the suits, but would never be able to wear skin exposed to work...
Loved this video! You always have an interesting take on the patterns and have details I never would have known. I love the asymmetric skirt and the shirt dress for myself.
