If you have a gaping neckline maybe try a chest alterations scoop in from the front armholes. This adjustment doesn’t change the shoulder length or the bust size but reduces the amount of fabric through your upper chest. I kept getting gaping necklines and was so frustrated. This alteration worked for me.
A slightly puffy underslip will help some of your full skirts stand away from your body.
Thank you so much for the tip!
Beautiful patterns! i love how well organized you are!!
Thanks so much!
I laughed hard at your risky business wrap dress comment! 😂
Would like to have seen other dresses on you
Thank you so much for watching! I have a few videos planned trying on the dresses I went over so watch this space!
I would have liked if you showed us the dresses on u whether they were a success or a fail ,these dresses are all stunning ,u have a great taste ❤
Thank you do much! I was apprehensive to do so but I will definitely do it next time!
Yes I found the loops in V8689 fiddly and I used less fabric for the skirt, I used a seersucker from Spotlight that was quite bulky. There are loads of boatneck 50s dress patterns out there that are much faster to make than this one and use less fabric.
Yeah I never understand why the big four don't draft them well! I would assume as there are so many versions in the same style that do work that it can't be that hard?
I sure wish we could have seen you model each dress…….
Thanks so much This is so helpful
No problem!
I have made your number one pick. With needing an FBA on every I had to alter it a lot.
Did it work out in the end? I am lucky to be part of the itty bitty titty committee for this reason! It does make sewing a tad easier 🤣
Love your Vogue favorite dress patterns! I too love my Vogue patterns and have a few of the ones you mentioned in this video. It would be wonderful to see what you made from the patterns as you described them as the last one is so pretty!
Thank you so much! I hope to have a video show casing them soon 😊 though I'm very slow at sewing 😅
Love love love the dress you are wearing = V1084 right? What material did you use , as it is super wonderfully squishy and swirly
Thank you so much! I believe it was a suiting fabric from spotlight :)
Would have loved to see you in your vogues!
I'll have to revisit some of these I think!
Can you please show the dresses that you made? Would love to see them.
Hey, some I don't have anymore but I will be filming what I do have soon
:)
😍
Stand back when showing your dresses so we can see them and slow down.
Good point! i will keep it in mind :) thank you so much for watchin!
Any more commands for fck's sake????
Sounds like no successes on any of them. Wow.
When you start out that's often the way! I hope with more experience I will come to enjoy all of the designs I love in these patterns :) thank you for watching!
@@LifeByHellenthat black dress you're wearing is absolutely perfect, and very inspirational. Vogue have great instructions, but they are technically more difficult than other commercial patterns. Definitely worth the extra effort.
@@LifeByHellena gracious reply to a rude comment.
@terryquinn5450 thank you ❤️
You were sewing when you were 6 months old and see how you turned up, a total waste..
Your too close to the camera ❤
