I know you have lots of unused footage from the years of you driving about. This 2 year old footage still looks good. & to anyone reading this, Kyle has done some videos driving in Yosemite National Park that are worth checking out.
Thank you for sharing. I plan on going someday..im.afraid of driving heights, but this video kinda gave me some hope. If anything, it looks like theres a lot of turns but theres no big drops.
The area between Sugar Pine and Fish Camp was hit hard by the Railroad Fire in 2017, and it came right up to the rail tracks at Sugar Pine (I think it took one of the flat railcars with it though). But before that the whole area was decimated by the bark beetle infestation.
thanks for the video! I'll be going to Yosemite in a month for the first time ever and I'll be driving from Fresno. I don't do well with driving and heights so I was worried about how to get to Yosemite. Is this route the "safest" or am I better off going the long way around on 140?
Nice one! I haven't been to Yosemite in many years, but do want to go back. You did notice that you went through a burn scar-that was likely from the 2017 Railroad Fire-which started near the Sugar Pine RR (Which I went on as a Kid). The Park was actually closed for a while earlier this year, due to flooding caused by the snowmelt... And Tioga Pass Hwy is still closed due to snow as of 13 June 23.
Tioga Pass is getting close to reopening. Caltrans has to do rockfall removal, replace guard rails, etc. before the pass can be opened. So far, it might be 4th of July for the reopening.
I've driven California Highway 41 from Fresno to Yosemite. Tunnel view is truly a wait for it...wait for it moment. And definitely one for first-time visitors. @approx 0:16 did anyone catch what the black suv did after he cut in front of Kyle? Watch closely. 😮
Exceptional content. Great music selection. WELL PRODUCED. Wawona TUNNEL BEGINNING TO END incredible. You know what you are talking about. Hard to find in TH-cam land. Please do not tailgate. Have you done or would you consider producing a video on the OLD Big Oak Flat Road?
My kid just went to Yosemite and mentioned all the cliffs. I would not be able to drive that mountain. Not enough guard rails. I wouldn't want anyone driving up there sleepy.

Same reason I’m watching😂

Best way to empty Yosemite in my opinion! Yeah, people can be idiots and not look. Thankfully I was paying attention and nothing serious happened.
At least he wasn't given the finger. Word to the wise: know which lane to get into BEFORE you pull out into traffic.
I was gonna say that too, and at 25 seconds used the right turn lane to go back straight cutting thru the pedestrian lane.
Which month of the year was this video taken?
How you pay for the tolls driving to Yosemite? Any checkpoints a long the way to collect toll fee?
I live just up the turnoff to Bass Lake. Kinda fun to see my town on TH-cam.
I can imagine. Thanks for watching!
Enjoy it

start of video, what an A hole in the black GMC SUV. It's people like that who ruin it for the rest of us.
