One of the things I've always thought, if society collapsed (say a zombie apocalypse), Walmart's the place to go. It's got everything from batteries for power, food to last months (many months), all of the survival equipment you could want, some have generators, etc. Go there, barricade yourself in and wait the apocalypse out. lol
Edit: Oh, and Jif is the peanut butter I've always liked the most. Especially the extra crunchy. Next time you come by, you'll have to get some. Just make sure it's in Washington State (Northeast side where a lot of the mountains, lakes, rivers, and a few nice waterfalls are). That's where all of the best apples come from. :-D

As an American watching this makes me realize that we take ALOT for granted
Most of us don't. There are a lot of areas in the US that don't have grocery stores ( food deserts). People just speak negativity about Americans. US grocery stores are built to serve hundreds of thousands of people in some areas. They have to be big. We also have smaller stores that cater to a regional or local market. I think most of the world should actually learn about the USA and not operate off stereotypes.

I moved to LA from outside US, an year ago. Went to Walmart for milk. I got so excited 😆!! Ended up spending 3 hours and $1400!
No! 🤦♀️ It’s all junk though! Walmart isn’t where you want to be shopping! Go to farmers markets & local grocery stores. Walmart is BAD. Repeat after me: “Walmart is BAD!” You can buy a cheap rug & pick up some milk while you’re there but otherwise, trust me, just stay away from it.

I have an entire backyard garden, I grow my own vegetables and herbs (fruit aside from tomato are not worth the time investment) and the shit I can't grow (vegetables like garlic and peas also not worth the time investment) I buy from Wal-Mart because it has a much better selection than my local grocery store. People act like the stuff at farmers markets were picked that morning. The shit has been sitting around just as long as it has at Wal-Mart, because it takes the same amount of time for an apple to rot in a Wal-Mart as it does anywhere else.

My personal preference is Laura Scutter's peanut butter. It is 100% peanuts. NO sugar added. It tastes so fresh.
Jif is awful. So artificial and waxy. Adams's Natural PB is better. Or any company who doesn't use palm oil and sugar in their product. PB should only have peanuts and salt.

I remember when I moved my sister to London, we walked around all day just looking for a store that sold basic furniture and groceries. If there is one thing america has gotten right is our one stop shop massive stores.

@Sterling Archer We have lots of choice in the UK also, we just don’t over sugar everything and anything... If U look at most TH-cam vids of Americans trying British chocolate, sweets ( candy ) and Crisps/snacks (chips), You norm find they much prefer the British ones especially Cadbury Chocolate and our flavours of crisps... The only thing I’m envious of is the vast range of ice cream, we have lots but you guys seem to have a mad range though again we use more natural and therefore healthier ingredients in ours... 👍🏼

I’m from the United States so I’m used to the huge supermarkets. I’m currently studying abroad in Germany and I’ve been here for a month but still cant get used to the small grocery stores🙈😁 There’s just so much more variety in the US.

I like sams compared to costco.. Cause sams has all the random "corporate" brands(large selection), I'm already used to these brands.. While costco, they tend to limit brands, while their own brand is prety good too.
Gluten free stuff is spread throughout the food aisles, not just in the gluten free section! I love seeing how excited you guys get seeing the things we see every day. It brings a little magic back to the things we take for granted. We have two Walmarts in my town and i shop there 3-4 times a week. To this day i still explore the aisles and window shop.

They sell a cheaper Levi than what you get at the department stores there they are a better quality and are around $39.00

@@stephaniegill8747 Yes this^ Regular levis are usually around $30-50, even online its much better. THats just the cheaper pair they allow to sell. While most jeans in general tend to last long, I still have walmart jeans from 10 years ago still lol.. And some regular expensive levi pairs.

Years ago I worked at Target in Phoenix when I met two gents from the UK. Turns out they made 2or 3 annual trips to the US for shopping. When I met them they were visiting the American Southwest and shopping for blue jeans. Each man purchased half a dozen pairs of jeans and then moved on to the boots and belts!

It seriously blows my mind seeing people so excited about going to Walmart. They make it seem like a Wonderland. It goes to show us how complacent we can be when growing up and always having places like this in our lives. It reminds me how lucky I am to have access to so much convenience; however, I have always hated going to Walmart and tried to avoid it to help out other businesses. It is literally impossible for anyone in the US to avoid going to Walmart at some point for something, and you can never walk out with just the one or two things you went in for.
