The barrel videos are coming we are just experimenting and trying to get a wide range of results to make sure we give the real story with the barrels. Thanks for Watching

    I have the Airmaks Katran in 22. Fac. Factory set at 40J. Shoots JSB and H&N under half an inch at 50 mtr. Love the trigger, its easy to set and just great. And it prefers the lighter pellets. Did measure the hammerspring adjuster before trying to get it ‘better’🤓 its now back to factory setting😀. Have an very early one. Did buy the wood. Blue. But that, while very nice and well made, is to slippery and to small for me…have now an Ergo DLX-Tactical Grip on it. Have a Helix on it. Love it. Am now saving for an Katran C , the same you have there in 177 and in 12 ftp. And with an single shot adapter. Wanna use it for HFT. Think about putting a Connect scope on it. Gonna try the old and stif geezer style….👨🏽‍🦯👨🏽‍🦯 standing with a shooting stick. 🤗

      Thanks, I have that problem with most of the AR style grips, they seem to make them all 2 sizes too small, didn't find it that slippery but I only shot it for an hour or so, ERGo grips for me as well, just fit right. Good luck they shoulder really nice should be fantastic for HFT, Thanks for watching.

    Thanks for another good video, looks like a well made PCP was thinking about getting a agt vixen in the short version, now I'm changing my mind after watching this maybe you could borrow a vixen for a review.Thanks again

    • @sub12airgunners
      @sub12airgunners  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The Vixen and this rifle are very similar, they have the same designer, just a different pressure/valve system. They are both nice rifles but for my money I prefer the Katran, another fella has a vixen at the range and I am just not a fan of the bottle at the back, it makes the rifle a little awkward to hold. Thanks for watching.

    Planning to order 1 of this next week, but just can't decide between bottle or cylinder, cylinder looks nicer and looks like might balance bit better too but not sure what shot count difference is like? thinking of going with compact one currently

    Great review. To the point and informative. That is a lot of work so swap the cocking lever. On their Caiman its is much easier.

    Per svitare la vite piccola della regolazione di potenza usi una allen key 2. 5mm?

  • @tyke3084
    @tyke3084 ปีที่แล้ว

    Two different fastenings is for security.
    I expect they supply the needed hex keys for the simple adjustments but not the torx keys thus relieving the manufacturer responsibility of average Joe digging in sensitive areas.
    If Joe gets a torx from his toolbox then that's on him.

    Sir jake. May I ask do I need to take of the hammer spring or empty the air? Before taking out the air cylinder? Need to wrap the air cylinder to prevent scratches.. thanks.

    Hiya bud iv watched your videos now for a while and I think your knowledge is great is there anywhere other than in the comments on your videos I could pick your brains on afew things to do with air rifles

    Hi me again. Was thinking if you threaded the fx liner and pulled it tight between the breach end and muzzle with special made nuts would this not keep it stiff and stop vibration and you would not need a carbon liner. Think this would in prove accuracy. Just a thought you might try. Love videos keep up the good work.

    • @sub12airgunners
      @sub12airgunners  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Had a very similar idea a few years back, what I did was thread both ends of an FX liner, one end screwed into the steel joiner piece this was secured in place, then with the use of a carbon fiber tube i used another nut on the muzzle end compressing on the end of the carbon fiber tube, this tensioned the liner, and worked well, it eliminated point of aim shift and the rifle was very accurate, the downside was because of the thread, the liner was not pulled perfectly straight but off on a very slight angle, this meant moderator clipping and I used up most of the windage adjustment on the scope, I do have another idea and a solution that I am very keen to try but we just have on had time to try it out yet, what ill do is show the threaded liner when we get back onto the barrels. The videos are coming I just want to give a fair and accurate assessment of what the barrels are like and how they perform. Thanks for watching.

      @@sub12airgunners my idea was to pull it between the steel outer barrel think this will keep everything I line

    Would you recommend one over the other since you have had experience of both rifles

      My money would be on the Katran, spend the left over money on a good scope, they serve similar roles, but because I don't hunt the Katran is better suited to my style of shooting. Thanks for watching.

    • @sub12airgunners
      @sub12airgunners  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      This one is not my rifle so I couldn't do much shooting with it but it was very accurate, easy 5p groups at 50 yards, a little pellet fussy but it liked heavy's and H&N FT pellets, we might be getting one in the near future so we will do a range test then. Thanks for watching.
