thanks i watched a couple guides and out of all of them urs is truly the best, really clear and professional explained, gained a sub glad i found ur channel, keep it up!
Wow, thank you for ACTUALLY explaining the functions, why you want to change them etc. I see so many videos and people just say “this what I use, as you can see my game runs good” and more videos with people saying the same thing but with different settings. I am going to use this after work thanks
about low latency mode, it's only works if your gpu at full load, if your capping/ limit your fps it would give you opposite effect, based on geforce experience and capframeX latency number report.
Did not think this would make a significant difference but dang... nice boost to visual fidelity.... Thanks doode
videos like this and youtubers like you simply by having the facecam while talking you give me more confidence and more trust as you give me the sensation that you know what you are talking about new sub honestly keep the good vids bro
Your old guide was great, glad to see an update!
Thank you! i just switched from ps5 to pc gaming. Just got a new PC with 4060ti 16 gb I knew i had to adjust setting but i had no idea what to do so thank you very much! Please keep posting videos like this. took me a couple of hours looking for a video like this. The way you explained everything and why made this video very trusting.
I prefer PC gaming for all the options, I like to set up the game the way I feel and looks great to me. The only advantage console players get is thier games are optimized to run at 30 or 60 fps in quality graphics
Thank you for this. Not only recommendations but actual description of each setting. Thank you!
thank you so much, followed ur settings alone, and have huge FPS increase within DCS World
Really in depth guide. You actually go into detail what each setting does and how it affects your pc. Great video
He didn't say what the regedit did...? Lol
@@poabstudios9020are you sped?
New subscriber here. Glad I found your videos. Been hard for me to understand what are those settings for.
you made my day! got a new 4070ti and i struggle with fps drops, flickering, bla bla bla... thx for this REALLY WORKED tut!!!
i was looking for a comment like this i have a 4080 i thought this was for more people with older GPU
really cool and informative video, great explanations!
Excellent information - thank you. I am using a Sony A80j TV as my gaming monitor and I had the resolution set to 3840 x 2160 under PC so I could enable 4k @ 120hz. Now that I've used your recommended settings I see more options under Dynamic Super Resolution and Ultra HD, HD, SD. Should I change my resolution to one another under those specific headers? If so, what would you recommend? If it matters, this is a new build with a 7800X3D and a 4090.
None ( use your native resolution )I would turn off DSR setting it meant for older games that do not support CSAA /MSAA You will be putting more Load on your gpu and not getting any real benefit at 4K. That’s what DLSS is for in game check my post of settings. In these posts here.
Thank you so much for explaining everything in detail. Even though I don't have much knowledge about this topic, I got an idea by watching this video and I will apply your settings, my friend.
Thank you for this guide. It's well appreciated.
Thank you so much! I can finally play AC6 without worrying about my high thermals. (I forgot to update my drivers too.) :)
Great video, you got a new subscriber in me. One thing you could help educate folks on - the impact of higher refresh rates on monitors and the relationship with resolution, especially with popular consumer cards in the 30 and 40 series.
Thank you, my friend. I am from Iraq. I have an average device and an Nvidia 1650 Super screen. I was suffering with the recent updates in PUBG Steam. I did everything and it did not work, but when I applied your steps, everything became good and smooth. My greetings to you from Iraq and good luck. 💐
please make a video for any game .. before/after the settings change to see the difference , since no matter i change in control panel i don't see noticeable difference
brilliant video thanks so much mate!
Very good!!! The best guide I have applied so far (and I have applied several!)!!! The only one that REALLY had an effect on the fps, the fluidity of the games while also significantly improving the graphics. Excellent!!!
Hi Four Eyes. With this settings you made my day. 🎵 I can see clearly now, the rain has gone. (and the fog too) 🎵 . Thank you. 😅
awesome! Best setting for me. Thank you very much!
The sharpening was a game changer for me!! Thanks so much!! 👍
bro such a great guide exactly what i was looking for youu the best thank you!
Thank you for this vid, will try these settings.
I play Destiny 2 and have always liked the graphics in the game. This new season 23 started crashing and I tried all the normal stuff. I found your video and thought, ok let me try this out. I logged back in and kind of staired at the screen at all the details in the character and game in general and went threw the menus and was kind of like, WOW..... its so dam pretty and clear now. So I started a mission and was awe struck at how dang crisp and full of detail the screen was, I also noticed I have what looks to be a higher and more steady FPS numbers now. Anyway I played for about another hour and no crashing. Awesome, thanks
This worked perfectly for me as well. The difference when playing Destiny 2 is really visible!
Soo you're an idiot 👍
Thank you. Thank you thank you. Thank you. my games are now running very smooth and with the adjustment of the colour, they look amazing. Thank you.
Fantastic Video TYTY for taking time and Help out in many ,doubts I had about some settings.
Just wanted to thank you for this vid very helpful and changed some of games in a big way always something to learn again thanks you so much
Awesome giude thanks for all that work!!
Thanks for the guide. One question though: in my 'Power management mode' drop-down menu, I get 'Optimal Power' 'Adaptive' and 'Prefer Max. Performance' (latest Studio drivers). I prefer 'Optimal' since I do mostly work on the PC and saving power and resources is of priority but was wondering why the difference there, is it because of the Studio drivers I use? Thanks again.
I have a gtx 960m that tends to get very hot, always used it on pref max perf but reading the description, optimal power seems the best for consistent gpu performance while adaptative seems more like a saving power when "idling" type of feature so i'll use adaptative
@@LA-974 Thanks for that. However, I was really wondering why the difference in the menu , as in, why I see different options compared to what the video shows in that particular section of the panel.
are you on laptop? I am on laptop but I don't know if it's because of that
@@LA-974 I use a desktop PC so it could be that, yes. I would expect laptops to be the ones with more power management options though.
never use prefer max performance especially in RTX CARDS it would cook ur gpu and decrease its lifespan NORMAL is the BEST
The default shader cache option (according to NvidiaProfileInspector) is 4GB
Thanks for the advice man, everything feel's/looks amazing! But just so you know your apex visual settings video you made about one month ago has a linked video to the old GeForce control panel video which is about one year old, i'd recommend you change that video to this one being it has updated setting's.
One of the big gripes I have between the Nvidia software settings and AMD software settings is the lack of a 'sharpening' option with Nvidia software. You've shown me how to get this via a regedit, so thanks it's much appreciated, although why it isn't an unhidden option from the get go I have no idea!
that nvidia software is such a mess. I can't believe that they still deliver such a shitty software in 2023. look and feel is horrible and we need to edit the registry for sharpening. disgusting.
@@alex_heavy clearly never heard of profile inspector 🤦
@@lu34lyf you missed the point. profile inspector is a 3rd party tool. that make's it even more sad.
@@alex_heavy err no it's not it's apart of Nvidia inspector.. which Is you guessed it made by nvidia
Tech power up then separated the profile inspector part and made it stand alone all done by orb around 2010
The fundamental is all Nvidia own work 🤦
Thanks man. first one really helped
Nvidia DL 2.25x is DLDSR very important upscaling method best to turn it on alone to get the visual benefits then set screen res to DL resolution. Works great for me. Nice informative video though
Can you explain this some more please?
@@uplayulay It's really only good if you've got top-of-the-line hardware, otherwise any kind of super resolution (rendering the game at a higher resolution than your monitor and downscaling it) is gonna tank your performance in a really bad way.
@@IndyMiraaga I have a 3060 RTX with 16gb Ram
Best video on this topic by far. Thank you.
This suprisingly helped, when I was playing ready or not I coukd only get 50-60 fps now Im running a lot more
thanks for the tips g :)
Cheers mate, one of the ONLY people on YT who actually understands the settings properly, unlike all the clickbait channels that are spouting nonsense. Keep up the good work mate!
thiss. fk panjno
Great guide, found after alooooooooot of searching!
Thanks
Thank you for explaining each one brother, I like to understand what I'm setting ;)
Now, how are you liking that aeron headrest? ;)
Very in-depth and helpful tutorial, thank you!
In 3D Settings, the option Multi-Frame Sampled AA (MFAA) when its on, all TH-cam videos on browser was flickering when I was moving my mouse. And when its off, its getting back to normal again (Requires browser restart to notice). You can leave it On and just disable hardware acceleration on browser settings but sometimes I need it so its annoying to restart every time my browser.
Should I set Multi-Frame Sampled AA (MFAA) ON in global settings and just turn it off only for my browser, Or OFF in all cases?
what about adjust desktop size ana position above Gsync section? what is the best setting?
What a man, very informative detailed guide! Good stuff, mate!👌👊
I love they way you explain how each important setting on Nvidia control panel is important. Thanks Benny
Thank you for your tutorial. Still work for microsft flight simulator 2020 with Nvidia 4090? I got several issue with the drivers version fon nvidia. Do you have any suggestionb which is the best driver version for Nvidia 4090 to use for Microsft flight simulator?
Hey, thanks a lot for that awesome, detailed guide! You helped me out of the MSFS VR troubble with my 4080. To many stutters and crazy blur effects on the rotors... and so on! Now i play always in smooth 40fps, it looks awesome! Thanks man and greetings from germany!
Smooth 40fps hehehe
Great guide mate I learned a couple of things from ya.
this is crazy i was just looking for an updated video like 2 days ago and today i see this lol
Even crazier I am at the same situation rn hahahaha😂😂
Amazing! Can’t wait for your next video. Thanks
thank you for explaining it thoroughly. hope you get more views and comments you deserve it.
edit: these settings keeps making my games crash? had to restore it now.
To the point. Easy to follow. Onya mate!
Most of the settings in here only really work in Dx9 anyway. Like Transparency Anti Aliasing, which actually does a lot for image quality in games that only use MSAA, but render objects with alpha transparency (like tree leaves or grass) that naturally MSAA doesn't affect.
Hey thanks for this upload! Very insightful.
Brilliant thanks very much, subscribed!
Great Video ! I have a question about the scaling mode is better GPU or Display scaling - have i to check ovverride option or not ?
What a legend thank you so much sir great video works !i leave a sub !
Just watched the MW3 settings video before this and everything looks amazing now! Subscribed!
Really good video, probably the most well explained concerning nvidia optimization.
thank you so much. it makes my graphic in game look greater and the heat of my laptop even cooler
Hey man, thanks for the in-depth explanation. However I ran into an issue after the tutorial. After I set my values up the video playback on my browser highly suffered due to a lot of stuttering and color loss. The only solution I could find is to disable hardware acceleration in the browser settings. Any advice to another solution? I might need the hardware accelaration in the future.
super helpful video, thanks for all the explanations
Bro thank you so much ❤❤
The best guide. Every game looks like a new game now. And I learned a few things. Excellent video!
thanks bro this rally made my games look WAY more smoother
The last one with the color really nice one, i was allways trying to make better colour messed it up lol😂 finally, thank you.
Appreciate this. Thanks!
Thanks for this! 😍
couple other points i'd like to make:
Some of these settings I wish you would say how you tested. Specifically, the cache and power management recommendations go exactly against a fix i had to implement for starfield where all the lighting in the game breaks. Maximum performance and unlimited shader cache fixed the problem (as well as deleting old cache). I've also seen it mention a lot that you should cap your monitor to just under your refresh rate if you want to stay in gysnc range at all times, and that you should use ultra low latency with gysnc panels. Ditto for vsync settings and gysnc. Any insights would be very welcome!
Also, please put in the description which settings might need to be tuned per game (reflex and latency for example). Don't really want to watch a whole vid when I run into inevitable edge cases.
EDIT: Also, opengl is really common for emulating so i'd be curious if it is worth turning on for a global setting.
I should have added that certain specific games like Warzone and Starfield like larger cache size, but most are fine with lower settings.
As I stated in the video, frame rate cap is needed for gsync, however you should do that with Afterburner/Rivatuner as you get lower latency than using the NVIDIA cap.
Nvidia experts state prefer maximum performance is pointless.
Good point on OpenGL for emulating!
@@matthewashton4053
i can't find the steam post now, but i think it is something like this:
0. Change nvidia control panel to unlimited cache size and prefer maximum performance.
1. Restore starfield settings to default
2.You will found the cache on your local harddisk: user\*yourname*\AppData\Local\Starfield\
Delete file "Pipeline.cache" and start the game, it generates a new shader cache
3. Restart PC
4. Boot up starfield, and quit as soon as the cache is built.
5. Delete cache again.
6. Play
1) G-Sync ON + V-Sync ON .. If game will go to max frame rate only 144fps then VSYNC enables, preventing tearing but potentially adds a little input lag.
@@happykitty6888 Thanks for the response! For opengl, I was referring to the triple buffering option. Will this make any difference for emulating games in opengl?
Generally, I would leave vysnc on fast and turn off in game. This is for a gysnc monitor.
@@boblablaw4857 personal I just leave triple buffering off since you using Gsync monitor. Triple buffering will add more input lag and more resource on the gpu. When wanting to use triple buffering is when you have a old monitor that does not support gsync or free sync. That’s when you use vsync + triple buffering.
Nice guide homie! Keep up the good work!
I have a lg ultra a cheaper 144mhz monitor and that digital vibrance setting really spruced up the colors without enabling hdr mode thanks mate
Love the explanations - trying these out thanks! o/
Thanks for this! I just got a 4070ti build and this really helps!
Interesting... very first one - Image scaling to image sharpening was already on image sharpening, and I don't recall ever doing a regedit to enable that?
Great video thanks. Worked perfect and what a difference.
Nice1 mate. Cheers
Realy good guide, thank you!!
very awesome tutorial! If possible, i would love to have a windows setting for Gaming as well. Such as if we should turn on " Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling" and "Graphics performance preference". I have been tuning around those setting as my 4090 only 30-40 fps on 2k non-RT CP2077 with 10-20% GPU usage. Thank you very much~!
Hardware accelerated gpu scheduling needs to be turned on in order to use frame gen with dlss.
Turn it off for cod tho
cheers buddy, great guide
thank you!
Amazing Man thanks a lot !!!
With all due respect, I kinda don't like the sharpness thing, looked kinda weird, but just personal preference. Other than that great video mate, I just upgrade my GPU and had to reinstall my drivers so I lost my settings. This was helpful to get a nice preset.
great video and explained simply. have a subscribe 👍
Nice you just found this out.. thanks
Thank you very much.
Very Helpfull, thanks
Thanks for giving an explanation for each setting instead of just saying what to change.
The sharpening trick is noice! But it does fuck with the textures in Modern Warfare 2019 and Warzone 1. Is this because I set the shader cache cap to 5 GB?
Could you please make a video to compare the FPS with the FPS before making these settings and reply to my comment?
Because whenever I adjust these settings, 8-10 FPS notices, and it's not worth reducing the image quality that much.
Hey I’ve been having issues with memory leaks in mw2, can you do a video on it?
Thanks for taking the time to do this! Really appriciate it!
thank you so much
Thanks for this. On the NVIDIA change resolution page, no 3 also allows you to use the NVIDIA colour setting rather than default. That gives a few extra optional settings to change the output colour depth to 10 bit if your monitor and GFX card support it. TBH I'm not sure if this makes a big diference but maybe you could test that as well. I have mine set at 32 bit colour depth, 10 bpc, RGB and dynamic range, full. with a 4070ti and Samsung Odyssey 32" G7
Absolutely fantastic video, thank you.
wondered where this guide was going with the reg_edit stuff, but nice trick!
Vielen Dank !!!
