Visiting Point Nemo

- Explorer Chris Brown and his team take an expedition boat to visit Point Nemo, the most remote place on the planet.
This video catalogues the journey from Puerto Montt in Chile, to the Oceanic Pole of Inaccessibility (known as Point Nemo) through to Papeete in French Polynesia.
It covers the planning phases of the expedition, what dangers we faced and how the difficulties of traversing the storms and hurricanes which plague the Southern Pacific Ocean were overcome.
Chris, Mika and Adam got into the water at Point Nemo for the most remote swim ever recorded. Little did they know they would be attacked by a Southern Royal albatross with a wingspan of more than 3 metres and a 15 cm hooked and serrated beak!

I gasped when he jumped in that water. Ain’t no way 😅 This is incredible, thank you for sharing ✌️
Yeah we have almost no documentation of what’s under that water out there
Literally almost absolute zero
There’s stories of sailors getting lost out there for months seeing all kinds of crazy shit
This is awesome. I would love to see more
Wow ❤

Amazing video!!!
I would love to visit there. Knowing that the closest people to you are on the Space Station above your head, really makes you think.
Wow amazing
Amazing
This video deserves more views! I just randomly search Point Nemo because they seem strange to me on how remote that location is. Congratulations on the feat by the way! Do you think this exploration has been made possible due to Starlink? Not sure how you guys had an internet connection so I assumed you guys were using Starlink.
Also, I know you guys are expert in what you all do. But weren't you all afraid on what is something in that location? It gives me anxiety in the part where you swam in the location like an undiscovered creature might emerge somewhere. I don't know, it's just that open ocean is scary!
Thanks. Yes, we had Starlink, but it wasn't neccessary for the expedition, just useful. Navigation is by GPS.

Swimming at point nemo holy legends. Glad no one got hit in the head ah ha
wow 😲❤
How does this not have more views? Your production quality is insane!
Thank you
Because not many people know about point Nemo
Wow😧 Great video, great experience, great adventure! How come there is more space waste than fish?🤔🫤😟
About the water temperature, surely you can't swim there without a professional swimsuit, right?
Hahaha the King Albatross guarding his territory, he is a very big bird!😮
Did you ended up very tired? Would you repeat the experience?
I have one more question sir, about the helmet you used to protect yourself from spacecraft, didn't you feel heavier with it while swimming?
I really appreciate and THANK YOU sir for sharing this great video of your wonderful adventure. A big hug from Guadalajara Mexico ❤😊🎉
The water temperature is normally around 7 degrees celsius at Point Nemo. On the day of our swim it was kore like 9 or 10 degress.
No, it wasn't tiring - all of us who swam do lots of training.
I didn't actually wear a helmet; that was a joke.
@@ChrisBrownExplores ohh okay about the helmet, hahahahaha.. great experience Mr. Brown. I really thank you for sharing thus video with us. Take care. Saludos desde Guadalajara Mexico 🥰
Grand Line🙇
Haha u may find one peice there
So scary
watching this with a thalassophobia
Then I'd definitely suggest you don't try and repeat the swim :-)
If megalodon were SOMEHOW alive.....THIS, this place right here is the place.
Maybe it does. We didn't dive down to double-check ;-)
@@ChrisBrownExplores good thing too 💀
No doubt
