I started this animatic on my birthday and had NO idea that it was going to take this long. I heard this song and wanted to make an animatic about Asra and the MC. My art style changed many times during this animatic but I still think it turned out pretty well.

The Arcana kinda reminds me of Mystic Messenger a little bit. They both have a character who is going to have more involvement with the MC. Example: In 707’s route, you have a longer after ending than the standard after ending and Valentine’s Day ending, you get to learn more and in a sense is the character you’re truly meant to end up with, but the game creators of course want you to pick and fall in love with its other characters. This is similar with Asra, he’s always going to be the one who you loved first (as in the time that happened before MC dies) and that he’s going to still love and accept whomever you love, even though before the MC dies, they were in love. There’s also a theory for MysticMessenger that states that 707 never “resets” when you want to start a new route. So 707, even though you’re on someone else’s route, still loves and cares about you even if you restart the game.

Fun fact: code error 707 stands for "memory cannot be erased" so there's this theory that 707 is like an error in the game and isn't supposed to exist in the first place

@@chips6042 YEAH IDK. THAT WAS MY SHIP TOO! I always thought there was something so fascinating about how calm and collected nadi is vs how energetic and bright pasha is. PLUS the stoic and noble countess and her mischievous servant seemed like such a fun dynamic.
There so cute together.
Plus, in every route you play, Asra still loves you but doesn't get in the way of you and your love interest. It's actually very sad and now I have trouble playing other routes because it makes me feel guilty.

I played Asra first and now I am doing Julian and I feel so guilty, because Asra is the only reason we are alive, because he loved us so much he was willing give away half his heart for us to live again. In the beginning of Julian's route, he does some foreshadowing, where he puts his hand over his heart when we ask him about what he had given up

Asra's route was my first route when I got the game ages ago but I was young and didn't find it interesting enough, so I only got like one book into Asra's route before I got rid of The Arcana. Present day and I've had the game for a week now I think? Finished Julian's route on both endings (made me cry fr I love Ilya sm), starting on Lucio's route, but I may swap between him and Asra because I keep seeing these freaking animatics that make me want to love Asra 😭😭Juli's always going to be my first, but dang it Asra you make it hard
