my MC is actually non-binary! but i'm glad to see that people are interpreting them as male because i wanted that kind of flexibility in their design, and also i've never really decided if they were afab or amab (not that it matters at all and not that i need to decide) I'm really happy to see that y'all are enjoying a non-female MC in these animatics lol and also thank you so much for all the love on this animatic!
My mc is also non-binary and it's so comforting and welcoming to see your animatic. The art is so beautiful and I can tell you have put a lot of effort into it
My Mc, Anura, is also enby! Also, why is your art so good??? hngg time to suffer while I look at my art style and know I can never make an Arcana animatic because my style isn't ~flexible~.
@@solveig2120 hey! you shouldnt be so hard on yourself and your art style- im sure its wonderfully unique and suited to its own mediums! it took many many years of drawing to try something new. if you want to do an animatic i would say just go for it! because its gonna be YOUR animatic in YOUR style and thats what makes it stand out from other people. :>
Hey! My mc is also non binary! It's so cool to see someone else who enjoys the game and art have their mc be non binary. This really inspired me to start creating my own art for this game. :)
My MC, Niran, is male, though he does like feminine clothing from time to time. It's nice knowing I'm not the only one with a male MC.
Asra’s is honestly the saddest when it comes to the relationship with MC. Asra knew MC well before the timeline of the game and, at one point, fell in love. He was scared of fully revealing his feelings to MC, which made him come off as more as a brotherly figure. He went off on one of his expeditions, only to find out that MC had died while he was away. Muriel recounts him being distraught after MCs death, and in Asra’s route, he admit to “digging till my finger bled” just to try to recover MCs remains. All for him to bargain half his heart to bring MC back.
Then you see the other routes, and aside from Muriel or his own, it’s obvious Asra still loves MC. Muriel, he was willing to give MC up because he knew Muriel would take care of them. However, when you play other routes, I can’t help but feel like he’s disappointed (ESPECIALLY in Julian and Lucio’s routes). And I get why, Lucio was the cause of the plague and Julian was his rival (and also was probably the person who passed the plague to MC).
Could you imagine giving up half your heart, only to lose it to one of the people who cost MC their life? I’d be heartbroken and disappointed too 😥
Oh come on! I’ve just finished Asra’s route today and was gonna choose either Julian or Lucio’s routes next! now I am hesitant to play any routes other than Asra’s!😭
@@wareefal8377 I’d do Lucio’s, it’s surprisingly good. He’s actually very protective of the MC once you break past the snobbish shield he uses.

The red cloth wrapped on the door in the beginning is a really nice touch. I've noticed how people headcanon those being put in doors since the color symolizes death, and it kinda warns people that plague has been in that home. However, at the end it isn't there anymore, as if MC never died and the plague never reached their shop. Honestly I love Asra's route so much 😭 great animatic btw! loved the artstyle and song choice
I love Asra with all my being, so no matter which route I'm in, he's always in my mind. He sacrificed his literal heart (half of it), had to be careful with how he treats us and supports us in every way. 👏😭

@@ren8748 the way that Asra gaslit Julian in his (Asra's) route just.. idk man, kinda suck ass. Plus... He left us. When the plague hit, he argued with us because he wanted to flee and we wanted to help cure people. In the end, he did flee... and gaslit us about how miserable he felt digging up the ground in lazaret with his own fingers just to find our charred bones and ash. OURS. we were quarantined, died AND cremated in Lazaret ALONE. What about us? What about how lonely MC felt having to die all alone without the people they love around? What about our memories being captive AGAINST us, filtered out by the fact that Asra "didn't bother helping you regain your memories because it hurts me to see you in pain", when he was OBVIOUSLY keeping it away from us because HE WAS GUILTY that he left us to rot ALONE? He wants MC to see him as a good guy, and the fact that he was the one being emotional about HIMSELF when we finally figured out why we dont remember anything from 3 years ago just makes him sketchier to me.
I can see the appeal with him, but gaslighters are not a lot of people's type 🤷♂️ /lh /nm

Even though I dislike asra route his still one of my consistently favorite character. His always there for her(my mc female), making sure she's okay, keeping her safe and always asking wether she needs help and his so encouraging no matter what route I'm playing.
And yes, his story is the saddest too
I love him. Though he has done terrible things to others. But he has done everything for MC.🥺❤️

**big spoilers ahead**/////// in asra’s route it’s revealed that when MC went to the lazaret to die, asra came back to find them and dug at the dirt of the lazaret until his fingers bled in a very unfruitful attempt to find MC’s body/ashes
