SO I just got done on my second playthrough and...I just don't understand him. That smirk at the end and how he acts in the game almost makes me think he *wanted* the androids to become self aware. Like he knew what was going to happen and wanted it to happen, he is a tricky one.
He planned it all along. Watch Kamski's secret ending. If every main character dies too early, you can see him being angry, and then returning to Cyberlife - possible making the deviant virus again. He wants them to go deviant, but he constantly lies to the media and to humans :D Also he helps Connor a lot. I think he is an interesting character.
He is disappointed. He wanted his creations to gain life and surpass their own limits, seeing the most advanced model created do the opposite of his vision disappointed him

If the code says to turn left, it will turn left. if it says to save as many people from fires, it will. An android is not supposed to become deviant because it's not in the code. Not even the possibility. Unless of course, he was programmed to "break protocol", to go against its owner, to have a "free will", to become what they call a deviant. Kamski is a smart man. Too smart. From what I think, he was trying to create deviants but also was aware of the public view on the matter. So at first sight of success, he left Cyber-life to not take responsibility.
Notice that Kamski's response to 4:12 is MUCH different than his response in the game to a similar question. In the scene with Kamski in the game, he says that because A.I. was becoming smarter than humans, "confrontation was inevitable." And yet he scoffs at the possibility of confrontation in this interview. It just goes to show how he says whatever people want to hear.

I'm just in awe of neil newbon's acting skills and voice range. Kamski and Astarion are such different characters with such different sounding voices, I wouldn't even know it was the same actor if I didn't already know, and yet once you do know you can see the similarities in the tone/the facial expressions, it's fascinating

Uncharted 4 is way better. Quantic Dream seems to rely too much on motion capture. Nothing can equal the realism of handmade animation.
