I have been trying to do this with artist tube paint thinned out, but is isn't working. I noticed that the paint you are using is much more fluid. What paint is thet, pouring paint?
Oh, that´s so nice, I came to this video and you´re talking about Gerda who I discovered not long ago. I never expected to find this on TH-cam, her videos, it´s such a big treasure giving us that. Reading the comment section it seems she´s got a lot of fans and that´s awesome, she really deserves it. 😄
Hi anne marie, do you think the alcohol cells is the process used by Emma Lindstrom to create her cells in paints? I am testing many brands to find the consistency of her cells and something is missing. do you have an idea? thanks for your videos Anne Marie ;)
Oh Wow!!! I love it! Funny thing....I have watched Gerda for a while now and JUST started doing more of these pieces over the weekend (although I just found your video today). I even decided to use an old "test" panel I made months ago with this process as a background for one of my angels!!!! Now, I love the look and I have 3 I'm working on right now to use as more backgrounds!! YAY!!! Love your work and really appreciate how much knowledge you share with us. ***LOVE the tip on the make up remover wipe! I actually just used that tip on a canvas I was working on last night and now I like it so much better! You're awesome!!!!
I don't comment a lot on videos/posts, so I'm not sure how or if I can send a pic of this process being used as a background! If I can, please let me know . I'd love to share!
Ann Marie; it is So Cool that you are promoting and emulating Gerda, because back in 2017 when I was turned on to this acrylic fluid painting rage, I was drawn in and grateful for the way it brought me back to myself after health and trauma cut off my creative heart.. I found you right off the bat, and because you are so genuine I kept coming back, and I found Gerda Lipski and she also helped me begin to develope my individuality; an authentic style as goal. You are still so good and always a pleasant companion and I'm blessed to be able to choose my teachers!! you validated my choices today.. Thank you for continuing to share the journey.. I was always told, to be successful; stick with the winners, those that live and do what you respect. I'm now encouraged by my mentor choices, and God knows encouragement is needed.. Kindness is a gift as valuable as any talent, only rarer, imo.. ❤🎨💕😃
That is the same reason I started...I think art can lift us out of anything. Thank you so much for the compliment. A comment like this wipes away 100 nasty comments so I thank you for that....♥♥♥ Big fluffy hugs ...♥♥♥
I too just found Gerda Lipski. I tried her method,. I did not do a pour over it, I commend your work! now I am brave enough to attempt the combined methods, and see what comes of it. Thank you,
Your cling wrap is great. Mine scrunches up even before it hits the canvas or art! :-)! Awesome technique. Love you AnneMarie and Gerda is pretty awesome also! It would be fun to see the both of you do a piece together! Thanks for your videos. Love the art and the chat.
so fun to see you doing Gerda's style. I watch her also - love her work, have done a few following her directions, but although I'm pleased with my work nothing to compare to her work. Thanks for your great videos love you
papier aquarelle, bindex, acrylique, bindex , alcool, et plastique froissé, à la Gerda Lipski que j'adore, et j'en ai fait , superposer les couches sécher etc ....
Hello annemarie, I'm elly. I'm an artist of many mediums and always expanding into more. I've been playing with alcohol inks lately but I'm getting ready to expand into pours and found your video. The main comment I really want to make is that I see a child's profile out of the shape of the pour and the area's you pulled out just added to it with the look of wispy hair. Personally I liked the background better before you added the white and plastic wrap. Maybe a soft, thin wash of white without any texture added would allow the two elements to compliment each other...??? Anyway, your work is gorgeous and your video is very well made! Thank you for sharing and so sorry this got so long! Blessings!
I mean no disrespect, but as an intermediate beginner, there are a lot of questions that were skipped over, and would have been extremely helpful for me to see. First, the actual name and percentage of the "stuff that you put into those burners" would be helpful, as would the percentage of the second alcohol. I have learned that each formulate a different cell size. Also, you let this piece dry multiple times but I would have liked an average range, as the climate is different for each viewer. You put together a pour cup without indicating a start and end color. I know these questions are subjective but to add more information, even using pop-up text at each step, would help newbies. Thank you for sharing.
Ok I understand but if you start at video 832 you skipped a lot of explinations...On my main page there is a video 1 hour long explaning everything you need to know also check out my playlists with all the basics. th-cam.com/video/BGAT11D0WT0/w-d-xo.html

I just loooove this piece and the technique. I also love the smell of alcohol 👍🤗

I knew I was going to like this video as soon as you credited Gerda as your inspiration!!!
Yay! Thank you!
Fun! Please help...where is the video of the finished product? I've searched and searched. I'm dying to see it!
I don’t always finish , it’s more about the experiment ❤️
Terrific. Totally ADORE Gerda’s work as well!
♥♥♥ Thank you and thank you for watching♥♥♥
Is the gloss. You applied first like a using a gesso ? Thky
Not 100%…gesso makes your paint stick to the canvas, glossy medium or just plain acrylic binder seals the paper from getting wet.
@@annemarieridderhof oh. Ok. So it’s used for when you paint on paper?
I recently discovered Gerda’s videos, and have binged all week on them . I really love the pour you added to this piece. Beautiful result!
Thank you so much!
Can you tell me at 5:23 what did you add to the paint?
water ♥♥♥
Will alcohol affect painting overtime? Is it archival? Thank you
Youu seal it afterwards with varnish.
Also alcohol will be gone by the time you seal it.
What does the gloss medium do for the beginning of the painting?
seals the paper.
Love Gerda! Glad you found her---she is inspiring. Like you.
I love her art...always so suprising...♥♥♥
What's in the spray bottle and the squirt bottle?
Alcohol like the title says 😀
Loved rewatching this video. I wish you did more videos as I love watching you.
More to come! Thank you ♥♥♥
Looking terrific !!! 😁😁
♥Thank you for watching♥
What did you thin the burnt sienna paint with
usually pouring medium , or acrylic binder...♥♥♥
Is that the same as gesso? The gloss medium?
No totally different mediums❤️
@@annemarieridderhof so what is the high gloss ? Paint or what? Acrylic?
@@Mongo-ui1ll a medium…you add it to the paint to make it glossy
I have been trying to do this with artist tube paint thinned out, but is isn't working. I noticed that the paint you are using is much more fluid. What paint is thet, pouring paint?
No just the same you are using....you need mediums to thin the paint, not only water.

Hi Annemarie, I tried this technique, I didn't get the cells. Was your turquoise paint mixed with anything? Thanks
the paint needs to be watered down...very fluid.

What was the 1st chemical you slashed on top of the painting (before you splashed the alcohol)?
