Wow, so great to see Chinese improving, and not only raising prices on older and messier boards. I do believe that your reviews are forcing them to do good, because if you highlight the troubles on a model (and you really know how to find them), people will go to another model and brand, hence a loss of sale. And video quality is great (as usual, I'd say)

I'm still using the x99 from EVGA 10 years later looking to buy another one because it still runs new games amazingly. The only thing I upgrade it on it was the processor to 6950x and 32gb more RAM. Not to mention ssds. 2014 Was Great year for PC hardware.

This board indeed looks pretty good!, One thing i like about this one is how they placed did the pcie slot placement since you can put a really big chungus of a graphics card in it and not cover any other slot
That begin said if you dont really have a 40 pcie lanes cpu that advantage is nullified but the fact that this little detail is there alongside with many fixes specially sleep mode working is really amazing

First of all, thank you very much for such detailed explanations. I want to get a 1080p or 1440p gaming rig on the cheap, have a 1070ti but plan on upgrading to either a 3060 or 1080ti with time. I was looking at this motherboard and either a 2640V3 or 2666V3. I live in a VERY cold city that even in the summer doesn't ever go over 20 C and don't use heaters or air-conditioning. Which cpu would you recommend? I am very limited on second hand market here thus i will buy mostly from china/ali express.

I just realized that the chipset that came on my MR9A is the C226 and not B85 like advertised by Machinist. Is this chipset good? What are the differences between them or it would be a problem to unlock the turbo boost in this case? I wonder that probably is not a good idea to use the 8M-F bios on the MR9A that is not a B85 chipset and a C226. Ideas? Thanks!

My latest is Huananzhi X99 BD4 with a Xeon E5-2697v3, a 14 core CPU and I have as a direct comparison, the same CPU in a Gigabyte X99 SLI board. Repeated testing with CPU-Z and an old version of Cinebench (20), the Huananzhi board is producing almost identical timings to the Gigabyte board. I am running a large water cooler on the Huananzhi and thrashing it with video compression, it stabilises at 50 to 55c and does not creep higher over a bit under 1 hour. Stock 2697v3 runs at just under 3.6 gig on low core usage and drops to 2.9 gig on all cores. PS : Glad to see you are safe. I can only hope the miseries end.
