      Truth bro I'm a full native to the town KCand the state Missouri too you have to think that's why some of our own actors like Don Cheadle and etc don't talk about KC much in his interviews or Missouri I live in California though. It's real life treacherous out here. But other cities don't View our streets like they really are I mean just look at the news. Like the young m a interview with funny Marco where she was asking what city he was from and basically tried to make it seem like her city is just so much harder than my city. But this hard for us to get people to take us seriously to take our music seriously. Shout out to Sleazy🔥 but it's like it. Is tiktok the only way we can make it up out of Kansas City. It's a lie and I mean a lot of talent here you got a lot of official Talent and what I mean by official challenge I mean you got a lot of "official Street dudes" that really be rapping and living that life all with different messages and stories to tell. We really just get overlooked. I made it to 11k followers on Facebook but people saying ima have to lave KC to get noticed. Nice video tho title made me click on it Asap!!

    You doing KCMO came out of left field. Understanding that you lived in CoMo makes sense of why you would cover KCMO. Im originally from St Louis and we had a good run in the hip hop scene from 02-06 on a natiowide scale. I could never understand why KC never had that same run. Granted Tech N9ne is the cities marquee artist but it took years for him to gain the national notoriety like he has now. There has been many acts out of KC that couldn't hold the torch comparable to Tech N9ne. Rich, Fat Tone, Mac Lethal, 57th Rogue Dogg Villians, Mass 187, Solè etc. Even when Murder Dog used to cover KC artist it still went nowhere. I love KCMO. That man said when you think of Kansas City you think of BARBECUE AND MURDER 😂🤦🏽‍♂️ damn! • @williamgoodgame
      @williamgoodgame ปีที่แล้ว

      You have a point, but WHY don’t they care???
      I think it’s because of the general mentality of our inner city, and the images of our options for representation within the HipHop space.
      I think K❤C would be more supportive of an artist with an image and message that they could stand behind proudly, in SOLIDARITY.
      With ALL DUE RESPECT ✊🏾🫡…
      N9NE is too “strange” for most (love/hate), and Factor has the persona of a major kingpin (with the investigations and rap sheets to match) but without an overall positive end to his means, or the visual images to accompany the lifestyle that he paints.
      And maybe it’s the way the marketing is handled but Pharrell, MF DOOM, Tyler the Creator, Uzi, Kodak, Yachty, Wayne, etc… make their “strange” seem a lot more normal and marketable than Tech has been able to do.
      How many degrees of separation is there really between the music of Jeezy, Ross, Jim Jones, and Nipsey, from Rich’s music!? Not a whole lot in my opinion, other than imagery and consistent mention of rising above the level of a Drug Czar.
      And finally, THE PEOPLE’s CHOICE, aka…
      MINDSET + MENTALITY. You reside in KCMO and if you are in tune with the environment and the people in the environment (not all of KC, but too much of it), you’ll understand this…
      K💔C
      Just a long history of oppression, depression, and dysfunction from people who never learned any better than what they were taught and shown.
      Just my thoughts.
      Be Royal,
      ✌🏾👑

    It's the same thing here in Indianapolis. So many cities are slept on when it comes to music. I feel like some artists need to just move out of state to make moves. Unfortunately there are not record labels and other resources in some of these cities where there is a lot of local talent so many of these artists end up on the opposite side of success.

    I think the biggest issue with it sometimes is that for a Midwest city, we aren’t always open to sharing our secrets. And I think I like it that way sometimes. Most people are friendly to outsiders but don’t tell them shit.
