The white dudes got down in prison. Most Folk gang members graduate to GDs when they get to prison. The ones I met were dope fiends that claimed GD. All the positivity is a front for the public and to deter the police, just like 1%er bikers do. They're still entrenched in violence and have no plans stop that. Hells Angels could change to Heavens Agenda and still be doing all the treacherous things to land them in prison. All they're doing is trying to clean up their image to be less stigmatized, while the motives remain the same.

GD started off as Supreme Gents, then Supreme Gangster, Larry and Ike Taylor joined the Disciples and became the Black Gangster Disciples. Later around 80 or 81 larry broke off from BGD, and formed GD/Growth and Development. The concept was to invite other ethnic groups which is why he dropped Black from his faction. Gangster became a thing late 80s early 90s, which is why it became known as Gangster Disciple. This is a short version of GD.

I'm so glad to see folks putting the word out for real. I had a heavy heart about how there are youngsters in the street that don't live by the laws of the organization of the surviving struggle I remember you had to know the lit the creed the prayers and you better represent with knowledge wisdom and understanding. I love yall for keeping your oaths maybe you can get folks straight in Chicago lil ones repping the red more than the black and blue over there claiming GD claiming they kill their own kin and folks for GD call us old heads and have no respect. Keep it real lock up on the boss.❤

This takes me back home. Im from Arkansas with Chicago ties which is where GD’s came from. Members on both sides of the family. Fortunately for me I was gifted with athletics & that kept me away from the street life, but the gang looked out for me & learned a lot 💯💯

I swear bro. Especially for me when I was younger I did drugs n shit so now that I’m older and sober my “friends” are gone. Now I’m going through a divorce from my sons mother after being together almost ten years and I have nobody to hang with or talk to about it. But I can’t do shit but keep working and taking care of my son.

@@WhoCaresMyGuyyou both speaking facts. Also political divisions have been amplified divisions, while tolerance and respect for others rights has diminished in some respects which has led to loss in friendships. People used to try harder to be friends. I also feel sad that all the racial bating by the media has divided us. It makes me sad. In my neighborhood we was poor but we were a community. It makes it hard to make friends and I miss having black friends all of them either passed, moved or we lost touch. We men need to stick together and support each other because like you said it’s make or break.

These dudes on a whole another level. It's refreshing to see a group of men like this acting grown and standing on true values. When I was coming up and used to bang I thought the best respect I could earn was through fear and that got me nowhere. Yeah, I was respected in my hood but for the wrong reasons. Sooner or later, all that fell apart and I realized to be a real man is to stand on your own two feet and support your family just like these men were speaking on. Now being older, the small crew that I run with are a lot like these guys. We don't like the word gang. We much rather prefer brotherhood. And being a man in my mid 40s and running with a crew of my brothers, I've also learned that the most important respect is earned through love rather than fear. I think this was my favorite video on this channel so far.

Sense of community is missing in America, I never would have thought this group would bring that. I’ve always associated GD with gang violence and drug dealing. Very eye opening, thank you.
