My opinion, Donkey Kong needs more game of his own game in his own universe. It's kind of not fair he has to be in Mario game all the time but I'm gonna guess they ran out of ideas what to make for the next Donkey Kong's game which is why they are gonna mostly stick for him to be in Mario's game.
