@BillyTimes-dw7vs I'm living in my car so that I can build my house in Mexico, I've spent about 50k building a two story 5 bedroom house. Last year I spent 30k renting an apartment in Encinitas CA for a year. That was so stupid of me, I could of started another house with that. Lesson learned though I'm never doing that again.

Even if we manage to not have war on our soil, our children's children are saddled with trillions in debt. This is no kind of life for them. We are considering leaving.

U can buy good cars for less than 50k. Be more accurate in your comparisons. A Subarus forester stocker version could be around 25 to 30k. Now medical is outrageous
I met a guy in the town that I live in who told me he chose to be homeless. He had no interest in having a house or a car, he wanted to be homeless. This is his American dream you could say. He was happy, smiling, and loved life. Got on his bike and rode away.

I left the USA in 2017 for South East Asia my monthly living cost change: my rent went from ($1500 America to $600 Asia) my transportation cost ($1000 America to $200 Asia) (Healthcare America $800 to $250 Asia) I've lived in Thailand, Vietnam, Cambodia, Malaysia and presently now in Makati Philippines. I'm not looked at as coming to steal entering a store, no tension when a police man approaches me in Asia, no police helicopters flying overhead, I haven't heard a gunshot in 7 years in 5 countries, I don't worry about being gun down by the police or by another black man, the internet is faster over here and cheaper and all that it takes to live overseas means nothing compare to the bullshit in the US, add the fact my savings has blown up my trading account, other than for family I don't see myself coming back no time soon.
I am wanting to leave the USA in the worst possible way! We have been brainwashed all our lives into thinking the USA is the best. The reality is that there are much better places to live and many are realizing this now. There is no perfect country; however, there are many options much better than USA
Exactly... I think people don't feel good about America in terms of economics. Most can't live a good life and "get out and see America" because they're struggling. That's all over America no matter the state you go to. It's hard to afford basic necessities and people are tired
@@brownsugga2584 "Seeing America" is not nearly as easy and cheap as it once was. Camping is extremely expensive now in most of the desirable places because the rich have claimed them as exclusively theirs.

I do Agree 👍 but everyone is different when I'm in Phillipines they do speak English for the most part but it's Filipino English alot of vowels and words that I speak to them in they don't understand just in the provinces. In the cities they speak better English then some Americans.
I moved to Germany for 5 years, and returning to America has been my biggest regret in life. It's a shithole compared to Germany, which has far better work-life balance, safer, cleaner, food is healthier, healthcare is superior and freely available. No homeless camps, no ghettos. The populace is much more informed and engaged. Already planning to go back and never return.
Where in Germany, may I ask? My German friend of 30+ years tells me frequently how Germany now is very different from the Germany I knew in the 80's. She talks about the big homeless problem they now have, increased crime, gas prices, rampant immigration, & how they don't dare drive through town with the doors unlocked anymore just to name a few things. Your description sounds more like how it was when I left in the 80's.
Germany is looking for a lot of good specialists in many areas, as you can read very well on the Internet. Otherwise it would go beyond the scope of this article.
I have to disagree. Once I started traveling out of the country and got a taste other cultures and the friendlieness of the people my whole aspect of life has changed. I don't enjoy living here and especially as a black person at all it is so stressful. Everyone looks so angry ..who wants to deal with that all the time? I don't even love this country enough to wanna change. I am getting my affairs in order to be gone. I personally have family members who have left and is living their best life outside the US who wish they would have left sooner and don't plan on coming back. Those who decide to stay I don't judge them but this country is not for me!
I believe you. I was one of the people who left 6 years ago to Spain and instantly was happier and healthier. I lost weight and start enjoying life. My wife and I left the US a few years ago for South America and life’s been great ! Here a social security check from a husband and wife buys an upscale life! Great medical and weather and warm people ! I didn’t work a lifetime to share a chicken dinner and now we have the retirement we dreamed about. Lots digital nomads too !
that is so true. we do not work all our lives to wind up splitting a meal between two people. Some like to do that but what you said is very true. You shouldn't have to. There is a place by us that is now charging 20.00 for eggs, toast and hasbrowns. Want a drink with that? 4.00 for iced tea. I don't trust the water in restaurants here, it just tastes nasty. My husband would be considered a digital nomad, I suppose, he can work from anywhere. we are seriously thinking about it.
I reside in Japan, and it’s truly a place I adore. Witnessing four and five-year-olds strolling to school or shops independently, carefree, encapsulates the serene lifestyle here. My living expenses total just 1800, covering all bills, yet I dwell in a splendid waterfront apartment-one of the finest. Dining out fills about four evenings a week, and with two dependents, life feels enriched and balanced.
Lived in Japan too, my hubby is Japanese, now live in Spain , my home country, Japan and Europe best 9places to live, Universal health care, no guns, top notch public transportation ( dont have car anymore, dont need it), relived in LA several years, US is not a place for us

Australia is no better! Life is a misery here these days. Everyone feels they need an escape to a better place where they can just relax, connect with other humans and nature and live their life without constant stress, anxiety and government overreach. But where? How? This is life in late stage capitalism and it's killing us all, mind body and soul!
I think one of the biggest factors that could help is to get off social media and be very picky with the news you consume. Right now it’s in vogue to trash America and plenty of young people are along for the ride. It might help if we stop listening to people complaining about racism, gender, oppression…etc. us Americans have it so good, truly. While I grew up in lower class, I still had access to running clean water, supermarkets full of food, relative safety. Compare that to actual oppression like the Uyghurs in China or the gangs that control South Africa’s energy…that is a real issue. This isn’t to say America doesn’t have her problems, she definitely does. But we can work to make it better. Plus if many have the same thoughts as you the coveted countries will become overwhelmed by immigration, it won’t represent what they are now.
America 🇺🇸 is a beautiful country but In my 58yo of existence I'm finding out living over seas is cheaper. I literally rent 2 places one in the city of cebu and 1 in siquor Island 🏝 for less then $500 a month. It's a no Brainer for any wise man not to pass up only if u can do it.
Your physical needs may be taken care of over there but emotionally you will suffer. Things have changed, it's become very hard or impossible to pay bills for so many of us employed folks. For the first time, even though I have a job I'm facing the possibility of losing my apartment, getting my power disconnected and can't pay my car insurance.
It's not the same. The price of pretty much everything must go back to the way it was before the pandemic, or things will just get worse. We cannot out price ourselves into poverty. It just doesn't make sense for many people.
keep shopping around for your car insurance. I did and saved over 120.00 per month. we were being charged out the wazoo, work from home, barely even go anywhere other than to run errands and my rate was ridiculous, despite having clean driving records, no claims for years. They told me it was because I live in a high risk "party" type of city. I understand that to a point but we do not engage in what the self indulgent crowd does, sick of paying for everyone else. And you have to have it here or they impound your car. go two weeks without it and they can do it. it's crazy. I also found a trick another agent told me to do. If you have medical thru your employer, you can drop the med pay on your car insurance, it did save me a decent amount. you sign off on it to decline it.
Leaving America is my current topic of discussion. I have friends who were here in America and they went back to their homelands and we are talking about me immigrating to one of their homelands. I no longer trust America, I don’t trust the Government, I don’t trust the “healthcare system” and I most certainly don’t trust the food in the grocery store. And we are taxed to death. I don’t watch television at all. Leaving America is definitely a real possibility for me within the current year.

Man, thanks for saying this, Timothy. I'm European and I live in the 'happiest' country (Finland) in the world, and people here complain about the same exact issues that you listed during this livestream. Most of these issues aren't specific to the USA; rather, they're issues that most countries are currently facing. I used to be one of those people who wanted to move away from my home country because we're facing similar issues that your country is currently facing. I currently speak three languages and am learning a fourth. I have a university degree, I'm young, and I'm a skilled worker, and so on. But the point is, I have everything you need to succeed in another country, but I decided to stay for now. Why? Well, my long-term girlfriend, soon-to-be fiancée, is from Eastern Europe, and she grew up (mind my language) in a true shithole. Yet, she is the sweetest and hardest-working person I've met during my life. She has all the reasons to be bitter and angry because she truly got dealt a bad hand at life, and yet, she doesn't have a single bitter bone in her body, and she loves this country. This country gave her all the opportunities she would've never had growing up in her home country. And here I am, thinking about leaving this country because I've taken everything for granted, complaining about dumb shit, getting depressed for no reason. Like, come on, man. So, what I'm saying is that some of you people (me included) just need a good ol' cup of true suffering to appreciate everything you got. Most Western people have never experienced true hardship in their lives. Real suffering builds character and puts everything in perspective. I still want to leave my country someday since I have a dream that I want to live in the USA or Japan someday. But for now, I'll be staying and bitching less.
"is from Eastern Europe, and she grew up (mind my language) in a true shithole. Yet, she is the sweetest and hardest-working person I've met during my life. " So nice girlfriend from so bad country? How is it possible? :)
It's not new! It started about 10 years ago. I been traveling for 10 years throughout Europe and I have been living and thriving more abroad. Tim is right on. I live in Bangkok. Moved here so I wouldn't have to work like a dog, and can have a decent standard of living. I'm in a luxury building on lovely grounds, delicious food everywhere, beautiful women all around me and can live stress free within my means. So why is this seemingly idyllic lifestyle unsustainable for me ? Because i VERY MUCH miss my own culture, in a land where people speak my language and get my sense of humor, and am not looked upon as a foreigner (that really gets old after a while). I'm just gonna be honest here - expats I know that have relationships with Thai (beautiful & young) are ultimately unhappy. I would love to walk into a cafe, sit down, and have a nice conversation with the locals also having their morning coffee. People don't speak to each other here. Now I'm not saying this goes for all of Thailand, or even for other expats living here. I'm just one person saying that I have found all the answers and conveniences by leaving the country - except it doesn't really work.... for me. Just keep this in mind if you're surfing all those "Why I moved to Thailand" videos. Peace.

I can understand the moving away from America. A country divided, repealing laws, raking up laws from the 1800s, pretending that a large chunk of the country’ history is to be forgotten and not taught; outrageous ideas of making homelessness a crime; taxing retirement to the max and trying to dumb down the country by pushing trade schools instead of higher learning.
We need more skilled tradesmen in America to keep this country running.. Not more people spending six figures on useless liberal arts degrees smh. Take away about 85% of the liberal arts degrees .. There will be zero change in society. .. Take away even 30% of the blue collar trades and society will crumble
Love this. You, my friend, have got a new subscriber! I’m heading to Romania in August and am looking to leave America soon. The country has become infantilized and divided. I’m tired of both sides arguing and not being flexible to change. Here’s hoping there’s a big change in the future.
We can thank relentless corporate greed and corrupt political leadership for the decline of American. When the entire society is built around extracting as much money as possible from working class people, of course that will lead to cultural decline. Americans are unhappy and angry because corporations have ultimate power over every aspect of American life, including government, and that level of unchecked control is unsustainable. I too am planning to live outside the USA, at least part time, when I retire because I don't see a way out of this downward spiral. To be clear, I don;t think America is declining because of its people, it's declining because the powerful people that control everything are out of touch with the average American experience, and they have no concern about how their actions are ruining the country.
It's not hard to do. Many countries are far cheaper than the US so you'll have a better quality of life for less money and stress Itravel full time. Haven't decided where to settle because I want to see more countries..
I am an American living in Thailand and it's amazing. There are some very miserable Western men here tho lol. There are some beautiful parts and people in the States but it goes beyond that. Being beautiful, having a nice landscape and seeing kindness in people still means that it's located within the U.S. Thailand has it's problems like everywhere else but these are partly not my problems (they don't affect me) and also these problems aren't the things that I can't deal with. Also, as a woman living here is a kind of safety for myself and my kids that you can not imagine. There are things I miss and enjoy about the states but once you are out and able to see it with a new lense? It looks different. There will always be people there to hold the U.S. together and make change. All of us are won't be leaving. But as for me and my house, this is the best decision by far. Also, I have lived in the Middle East and that wasn't for me.
I’m currently grounded in the US. Have thought of moving abroad and I’ve even traveled abroad. But due to circumstances I’m here for now - and that’s been a blessing because I realize that wherever I am I am. If there are issues, I’ve got to be flexible, make some changes and make things better for myself and those around me. I found there are some good things here - I seek out good and have to filter out some of the not so great things. Like I stopped watching the news a long time ago. But there are some good things here - for example like Tim said, I’d love to visit other parts of the country. For me it’s about thinking about and choosing that. The US could do a lot better but no country is perfect.
The last four years I’ve been wanting to move back to Germany! But it’s because I lived there from June 2006 to November 2007 and loved it! Plus I believe I will be happier living in Europe!
I still work in the US but I live across the border in Mexico. I even started a business in Mexico that supports me. My American money is going to belize where I have a small house and the land to build my forever beach house. 4 years and I’m out!
I packed my bags sold half of my stuff and gave away the rest of my stuff. I moved to The Philippines 2 months ago and I am loving life here. The food is healthier here, the people are friendlier here, and the prices are less than half of what I was paying to live in overpriced America. I have no regrets about leaving America and I have zero interest in returning to America anytime soon. I live in a nice 5 bdrm house, all my monthly bills are less than $1000usd monthly cable tv included.
There is definitely an intentional agenda in America to keep people divided, distracted, and fighting against each other. I wish more people could see these fights are being organized and rise above it! I also encourage travel…you can travel without relocating.

One thing that people don't talk about is citizenship in other countries. I watch another YT content creator who is on a work visa in Prague, Czech Republic. To become a citizen, The Czech Republic requires you to be proficient in the Czech language to a certain degree. There is a language test as part of becoming a legal citizen in that country. He has tried taking Czech classes and says it's an extremely hard language to learn. He's at the age where he can stay on his work visa for awhile, but he's not sure what he wants to do after that. He loves it in Prague and does not want to come back to the United States. It will be interesting to see what happens to him. Take care Tim💕
You hit the nail on the head. I am in my early 30s and “go to school, get married, buy a house and have kids” isn’t a reality for a lot of men and women my age in America. That’s not a complaint, but it presents an opportunity to explore the world. Everything else going on in the country like the cost of living and the political climate almost makes it a no brainer to leave if you can make money remotely. Working 7-8 months out the year really helped me get a better balance to see OTHER places. I am a seasonal worker by choice and finally have the resources to start traveling out side my city. My next trip is next month! I am renewing my passport again soon too. Time to chance scenery. I pick mostly walkable/bikeable cities as I love to see the world. I CAN leave (Canada) as I am debt-free but where to go? I like my country and frustrated but I love it here. I found meaningful work and generally work alone---many countries women don't get this opportunity. I am grateful!!!!
Tim you are spot ON-people need to get out and explore; lots of great people and places to see. And I say this as a person who also travels internationally extensively. I have one foot in the US and one foot out in the world LOL. I am fortunatae that I have a job with free healthcare, live a pretty healthy lifestyle, and own a home. America is GOOD when all you ducks fall in a row. Other countries are great but they also have their own problem. And as Americans, we have to realize our PRIVELAGE of being American....if oftentimes results in better treatment outside of the U.S. (in most countries). One thing I have also noticed is that immigrants come here (even ones that personally know) come here and take advantage of all the opportunities and thrive. It's a weird conundrum.
I'm sure it's fantastic for you Tim, but some of us are trying to raise children and deal with some really heavy financial burdens and responsibilities and it's hell.
I just got back from Panama City, Panama and I did run into some U.S. Ex-Pats. I personally would not leave America permanently, but I would like to stay a couple of months out of the year in Panama. I felt a connection with Panama. I have visited Canada, Jamaica, Bahamas and Iceland.
Oh yes. Many people have left and/or planning on leaving for so many reasons I lived in Italy and Greece. First, you have to be able and willing to make a culture change and mindset for change. Although many Americans would like to leave, they don't have the ability to make the change from a mindset. Many American men are leaving to find a lady overseas who are more traditional. Let's face it, dating and marrying in the US is just not an option for these days. Cost of living is another big issue. Retired men over 50 with low income can live much better overseas. I am looking at returning to Southern Italy or Thailand or the Philippians.
You're not wrong, Tim. In fact, you could start several channels with the topics you covered. Every country has its issues, but America has an extra intensity to go with its problems.

I’ve been scheming to leave but I may give it a try to help change the direction we’re going. They’re lots of cool people here and don’t want to abandon them. Priority number 1 right now is to build awareness because we can’t rely on the education system or media to do that for us. I’m talking like we should all be able to bust out a 5w and How when it comes to last 50 or so years of wars, economic booms and busts , and much more like its grade school but instead we had to learn how to prove a triangle is isosceles and that proteins denature when exposed to certain temps or ph , or that xenon is a noble gas and therefore inert, etc etc Huge need for more health classes, one gotta have a class specific for mental , physical, social health. Revamp social studies with real knowledge on what AMERICA is doing domestic and international in respect to other countries and cultures. I wish there was a few classes with the sole purpose of learning how to learn because I and bunch of my generation feel we were tricked fr and just dropped in this economy , forced to do an unhelpful tutorial being told it’s fine. We are taught in school how to be workers and not much more. Task monkey 🐵. Oh and college / higher education can be more for specialization rather than general knowledge. There are too many damn useless courses in my CS degree that could have been taken care of in high school or something else. Side note : it’s obvious that the 99% are treated like second class citizens in the eyes of the law. This makes me want to get the fuck out and take advantage of currency arbitrage so I can be the 1% somewhere else and not worry about if I could afford a good lawyer. Health care is another thing that pretty much is keeping me looking elsewhere for countries since we don’t have a culture of taking care of society and the people all around us. I’m not willing to just wait for the change to happen if other countries are accepting and taking care of people who enter their system and mutually benefit, I’ll be taking my money there from my american earned funds. Rant over , yeah I gotta check out more places in the us. Hudson valley NY is fine and Nashville was cool when I stayed there. Honorary mention for Memphis as well.
I understand those people living, they are probably not comfortable at all with the current situation. Nature is beautiful in the US, sure, but one needs also to feel safe and have a decent life
I just got back to Miami from Asia. There were about 10 people sitting around me coming back home from other countries they are planning to move to in order to flee American problems. @BillyTimes-dw7vs I'm living in my car so that I can build my house in Mexico, I've spent about 50k building a two story 5 bedroom house. that is so true. we do not work all our lives to wind up splitting a meal between two people. Some like to do that but what you said is very true. You shouldn't have to.

I feel ya......existing is extremely expensive
I want to live! Not just survive. So I'm here in Mexico to try to figure things out

Yes! My daughter went to South Korea for a visit and stayed, so nice to live somewhere SAFE and no one steals your belongings even if you leave them in a public place!! A better country than the USA and I hope to go there myself!
most koreans complain of microdust and they have high suicide rate...many many people crammed trapped really on a peninsula the approx size of kentucky
Taxation and politics is driving me to consider leaving the U.S. To travel around the U.S. costs a small fortune due to inflation.
Travel has gotten more expensive but there are still ways to travel for cheap. It just takes more research than it might have previously taken.
This is an interesting conversation. Thanks Tim.
Peace.
Thank you for being so open and sharing your story.
@@TimothyWard You're quite welcome Tim. Thanks for all the great videos and sage advice.
From your post, I understand that there are drawbacks everywhere. Something will always be amiss.
@@freespirit-111 That's true. I suppose the key is where you end up on the Happiness Spectrum.
@@brambostic2009 First, let me apologize for the long post, but yes, and try to make peace with the constant restlessness that resides in all of us….its ok, if you move a hundred times, although, some might view it as being broken. See, i grew up without my dad, i remember longing for him, thinking that if he was present, id be so much happier, then i moved from an island to the United States, got married, bought a house, had a child. Sometimes, i miss the good old days of walking everywhere, swimming in a river etc, but i also love having amazon deliver my packages…lol. So yeah, nothing will ever satisfy us, at least not permanently anyway.

Btw, wanna say that prices for things here in Japan essentially haven't changed at all in 20 years.
The Japanese 🇯🇵 economy has essentially been in a quasi-deflationary state for the better part of 3 decades now, hence all the wacky 🤪 interventions by the BOJ 🏦. Also is a nation of elderly savers, which helps to counter inflationary pressures.
@@GringoAzteco yeah, like I said, things are kinda exactly the way they were here when I lived here 20 years ago, except, when I arry, the yen was worth double what it's worth now. How these two facts coexist is beyond me.
Unfortunately it is changing a little bit now. You can see it in the price of food.

As you stated, “before you leave America go out and see America”; excellent advice! Traveling America is balm for the soul, so much beauty and awesome people! Thank you for reminding us, God bless you and our journey.
I'm 40 and lived here all my life and am single with no kids and it's my dream to leave America
Tim you are a very inspiring person. You see things from many different angles. Thanks for educating me a bit more. Keep up the great content. Great work.
‼️‼️‼️🎯
Exactly
I love it here but I need a break on a regular basis. Humans are the same everywhere, but being around polite people helps sometimes.
Around happy and polite people is key

I’m heading to Romania in August and am looking to leave America soon. The country has become infantilized and divided. I’m tired of both sides arguing and not being flexible to change. Here’s hoping there’s a big change in the future.
Welcome to the channel/community! I hope you have a great time in Romania!
It's too expensive to live here across the entire board
I got to tell you, this is a really good video, very well informed, lots of information to think about.
It’s my dream! I just need to plan this thing out.
What's to plan? Get passport. Sell your stuff. Get TF out.
Sounds like a great plan! 👍🏾
The agenda is called capitalism, it's just rebranded slavery. Same slave masters in charge for centuries
It's nice to hear another realist just live your life reminds me of a song go where you wanna go do what you wanna do with whomever

There goes free will…😂😂
I wish my wife and I could travel Europe and pick another country to move to. America is in collapse and at this point is a cancer to the world.
You in a way could have it all if you knew moderation and acknowledge human limits. Welcome to perfect imperfect Europe but do your homework , lower your voices , and learn , dont compare , and understand that ALL in Europe must be financed too , nor here are there free lunches. The life experience is more human after all uf you are intellectually able to understand what you see and hear.
Bro, I' am living in the Philippines. and loving it. Prices are low here and people are friendly.

You can get a passport and go to 173 countries in the world.
Me and a Czech can understand each other easily. I am a Serb in the US. :) Yes, it is hard to learn....as english for us.
He may not have to give up US citizenship, he can also check "residency" and work-visa options too.
@@borngreat-4-life930Going is not residing..it equals temporary staying , mostly 3 months... educate yourself...oh wait..😮
I board my flight to leave America in two months.
Good luck on your travels!

Thank you for sharing!
How is that relevant? You have families locating in rvs
You can leave with children.
You're very wise to see this all with such a clear perspective
I AGREE 👍
1:12:10 Genz 21 year old here. Been feeling the gtfo of America feeling and it’s a mix of internal issues but also valid issues regarding my home country. I’ve been scheming to leave but I may give it a try to help change the direction we’re going. They’re lots of cool people here and don’t want to abandon them.
Priority number 1 right now is to build awareness because we can’t rely on the education system or media to do that for us. I’m talking like we should all be able to bust out a 5w and How when it comes to last 50 or so years of wars, economic booms and busts , and much more like its grade school but instead we had to learn how to prove a triangle is isosceles and that proteins denature when exposed to certain temps or ph , or that xenon is a noble gas and therefore inert, etc etc
Huge need for more health classes, one gotta have a class specific for mental , physical, social health.
Thank you for this comment! I appreciate you sharing your views on this subject in such a clear, unbiased manner.
I understand those people living, they are probably not comfortable at all with the current situation. Nature is beautiful in the US, sure, but one needs also to feel safe and have a decent life
Nature is beautiful in many other countries as well.
Nonetheless no country is perfect. There will always be some problems wherever you live
We need to weigh pros and cons before selecting some place to live in
My dream is to move to Cambodia. Teach English and start a business. This country is not normal 😢
I just got back to Miami from Asia. There were about 10 people sitting around me coming back home from other countries they are planning to move to in order to flee American problems. Men and women of all colors and backgrounds were saying the same things. Start planning people. I'm 43 and I'm checking out of here in 10 years. It costs $2000 a month to live a fun traveling life as a single man there. I met thise people.
We just came back from our first trip to Kenya and Rwanda. We are definitely making plans to relocate to Kenya! Kenyans work hard but they live life too. Food is good and organic there.
