The first time I heard this song in the film Trust and Betrayal in 1999, this song kept coming back to me... listen to this song out loud, close my eyes, and my heart trembles, my chest tightens and the tears just flow... the music is very epic and the most beautiful thing I have ever heard in my entire life..

Tragic... Nostalgic... Yet Beautiful...
Rurouni Kenshin Trust and Betrayal is like the Cherry Blossom Trees. It is very short lived but very enjoyable and you watch this once, you really into it. But if you watch it again, it never really hits as hard as when you watched it as the first time. Tsuioku-hen may be a very short one, but it holds more meaning than many new gens rn. I remember watching this as a kid alongside my father not understanding how tragic and beautiful it is. I only asked him, why did she die? I only saw him crying. Years later I come back refreshed and I finally understand the feeling my father felt when we watched this back then. The Tragedy of having your lover killed by your own hands. And prove me wrong, but Tomoe's death is definitely sadder than Rengoku's.
Wow that with your Father!!! makes the anime much more meaningful to you

Y las lágrimas salen 🥲 junto a la belleza de esta composición, agradezco mucho a toda la gente que participó, a los q dan like y comentan, me da mucha alegría que haya tanta gente además de mí que ha disfrutado de esta joya... Beautiful interprétation. It gives a new life to this timeless ost.. the ova 20 years later is still more beautiful than alot of current anime
Even the ova itself better than the new remake one (for the soundtracks and the artstyle)

wow can't believe this OVA is 25 now... this track really sums it up in the end, bringing out some heavy emotions. A very good story.

Its not synchronized as the original... i get that being a live performance it doesnt exactly sound like the original track but it feels to me lacking the spirit and strength of the original...
Exactly, the original is more poignant: it's grabbing my heart and crushing it, i get shivers. Not really the case here, still beautiful though.
I thin the percussions being so loud is what offsets the atmosphere, it sounds nearly silly

The orchestra played the piece as if they don't understand the story. Instead of a tragedy, I got a military bombardment.
Oh yeah, I can kinda understand/hear the 'military' sound.
