I'm 74 years old and haven't hunted deer for about three years. However, the 30-30 Winchester and I might have to take a walk in the woods the end of next month during the 3-day senior any deer season here in PA next month. I subscribed to your channel as I've watched a few of your video's and you are a true old style spot and stalk hunter. The cooler weather and watching your video's is getting this old man looking forward to deer season this year.
Never ceases to amaze me how tough they are. A doe running couple hundred yards heart shot. I shot a spike at 20 yards with 30-06 through the heart and he was spun in a circle from the impact and ran 150 yards into the swamp. His inside looked like a softball went through at 100mph with a 4 inch exit hole. Even with no heart he ran like an Olympian. Lol!
Last day in Maine and I had to work had two small bucks in front my camera at 5:30 Kudos to you for being the sportmanship and not bothering that hunter
"I don't want to be that guy." Yeah, I wish others were so conscientious. Can't tell you how many times I've had my set blown up by someone who knew I was there and couldn't care less.
@@bowhuntingleprechaun5268 you don't own public, and depending on the size of the parcel I'd still hunt. Now I don't set up on top of people but I'm not going to turn around and go home because there is one truck parked on 500 acres
Thanks for being the right guy! You have had a profound impact on me. I’m pure public this year in Kentucky…. I’m pushing hard to fill my doe tag in late muzzle loader season.. “You can’t kill ‘‘em if you don’t try”…….
I bet that water is cold and your toe's are froze up and numb!! 😂 Great shot brother!! You drop her in her track's!! I use a 308 as well and man they are some sweet shooting rifles!!
Nothing against killing does, but those big does are good at producing twin fawns and keeping them away from coyotes ,they're good mothers. Be careful how many of those you shoot. We did that on our club a few years ago and it didn't end well. Everybody wants a big doe, but those are the ones that have the knowledge and experience keep their fawns safe and healthy. Killing them is not always the best idea
It's actually 3 does a day in the area if Tennessee where he hunts at and I also hunt around the same areas. These does have to be harvested like this because they are so over populated that there are literally 1 or 2 hit by vehicles every week and more like one or daily when the rut is happening. Catman also donates alot of his to hunters for the hungry, a great program we gave in the state of Tennessee
Once again nice hunt. I do hate to see the trash on public land from hunters in the front end of the video. I had my wife make me a camo bag so I can pick up as I go in or come out.
After seeing how many deer were dead on the side of 40 west of Nashville on Sunday and how many deer we saw just feeding along the shoulders and in fields I'd say you need to keep shooting!! Target rich environment lol

The random shot at 20min mark had my cracking up
Can we get some appreciation for Catman's gitter done truck. A man's ride.
Hearing that 308 bark across an open field will put a smile on my face every damn time
Catman
Your one of the best old style deer hunters I’ve seen.
Congratulations on the two does
Hammer Down Catman.
Catman is a serial deer killer 😂, he must have a semi trailer as a freezer. Love hearing that old Cummins too 👍👍

u made that doe hunt real exciting thanks for the entertainment
Your deer cart looks like something from BattleBots😂
Amazing how far a heart shot deer can go sometimes.

Always enjoy your hunts. What do you waterproof your boot with. When its overtook okie dokie but you must use a pretty good product to protect them.

Do you like that rubber tire cart better than the hard tire ones? And second question, have you ever used a sled?

Why not a pair of rubber boots so you don’t have to hunt with wet feet all day? Just wondering.
Good questionm since I'm his grandmother & was wondering the same !!!
Because he is tough as nails!!!💅 Or he might be part duck🤷♂️
It’s just water. It’s not like it’s subzero there.

Hi catman how can I come hunt with you
Yep I always carry a small plastic garbage bag for other lazy people's garbage
Nice double! Pretty forgetful this hunt... haha

I think he leaves it for rot the yotes.....I'm full of it he donates a bunch. Makes a lot of jerky, snack sticks. He has some great how to videos.
Making TH-cam videos
Does anyone know what deer cart he uses? TIA
