Welcome to my channel this is my journey with my new Megane 225 cup lux i thought it would be cool to share some stories we have as a Megane Renault sport owner iv owner loads of Renaults over the years this is my story
Done a very similar thing. Sold my Mk7 Golf R mapped to 365bhp and bought a 3k Clio 197. The Golf was a good car but I never loved it. There's something about Renault Sports man.
Genuinely can’t believe this mate, that’s my old car, loved that thing, I had it with about 55k on the clock.
I had a 182 for 9 years,and now got a LY R26 remapped to 265bhp - and youre right,for the money all the renaultsports are amazing value. Ive driven more modern sporty hatches and there just isnt the same feeling you get. I may look to a Clio 182 trophy in the future.
Tidy looking car! I cant agree more on the driving experience that these cars offer for the money its really phenomenal. I have an r26 my self running 275 but as you said this is a renault sport, not the fastest in a straight line. Looking forward to more vids.
I have one of these the 225 lux edition (black) with panoramic sunroof etc.One of the best cars i have had and i have had mustangs etc.Keeping mine for my son as he will be of legal age to drive in a few years.If maintained well these cars are just awesome they look the part and perform remarkebly as well ❤
I love my Megane aswell, it really envolves me with the drive and im running a stage 2 which puts a smile on my face every time i plant it, i agree with the need for good tyres, i have budget at the minute and i just cant put the traction down in 1st 2nd and 3rd, im just missing the slip diff as i have a 5 door 225 and i believe the diffs only come with the r26
i definately get what you are talking about. i love my megane 3 rs. not the fastest on a straight, but when cornering, it feels great.
its a shame you haven't done any more videos as I really enjoyed this
Got a 4 door, nice to see someone else who see's the "fast" german stuff as what it is, Friend has a Audi A4 1.8T he's had remapped I can't follow him because on the corners, I'm going alot faster!

205 was the best handling car, clio was good, Megane is a bit wolly , I keep meaning to get cup suspension, or at least better tyre but a bit hand to mouth right now. Subbed.
Some people chase numbers all day with cars. Driving feel is what's best with these. You'll struggle for 300bhp as it's quite a pricey setup, the rods are reliable under 300ftlb, so you can just pinch 300bhp with IC, decat or sports cat, 3" exhaust, 630cc injectors and a hybrid turbo(or one off the mk3)
But delete the turbo swap and you'll see circa 290 which is a nice place to be in these.
Open different on this f1 225 will be noticeable north of 250bhp though.
I've had a
270bhp 225cup
258bhp r26
Meg engined 197 with 252bhp
And currently a 350bhp mk3 meg.

you did the right thing 👍 more modern cars dont do it for me. Ive got a clio 197 my first renaultsport car, im from a vw background but cant stand modern vw's! i paid 3 for mine nearly three years ago and it is awesome! not fast and a touch thirsty but its ridiculous in the corners even though i dont drive fast i only commute to work in it. I need to find a good specialist near me really as they seem to be thin on the ground.
Wondering wheres some more videos here found a limited edition and want more input if it can keep up with gti

i have the awsome r26r 12 years old and still gives many super cars a run for the money today
