Since last weeks show, I couldn't wait for this one to come out so I could hear about the ports. Sounds like a great time. Thank you for sharing.
Croatia is my homeland despite living in the UK so it was so nice to hear you enjoyed. Currency is Croatian Kuna and usually you can pay in Euros in cash at most places but the conversion is always rounded up for ease which is a bit.. ahem.
So glad you enjoyed as Sibenik but just so you know, it is not even the prettiest we have to offer! We have the beautiful Istria region up north then Dubrovnik, Split, Hvar, Korcula down south and swimming in Krka is always a must! Our neighbours Montenegro also have stunning things to see via a boat trip. Kotor and Sveti Stefan are also musts.
One day I hope you guys get to do the whole Adriatic. :)

I was waiting for part two and it didnt disappoint! So fascinating to hear everybodys perspective on the trip.Its so interesting that, even though you all went on the same cruise you had very different experiences.Thanks once again for a great video
Quick note on Rome - we only got in the day before (just couldn't be away more than that) but still had time to see some of the sites including time at the Trevi Fountain, we did a food tour in Trastevere in the evening that was amazing and then morning of departure we did an early entry tour to the Vatican which worked out very well. So even in one day we got to see a bit - but definitely would like some more time in Rom - I agree with Craig that I enjoyed Rome more than I thought I would

Can John and Kevin comment on if it was difficult flying international as a person of larger size than those tiny seats? Any tips on which airlines are more friendly towards larger travelers?
Other than some previous research, how did you know what tours to do when you arrived at each port. It seems that for the most part, there were about 3 different experiences that were discussed per port. Did Viking offer a list of suggestions in additions to the tour excursions that were included? I believe that it was mentioned that you guys didn't do any incursions with Viking. Or did I misunderstand? Thanks.

Would you recommend a Viking Cruise for a first cruise?
I thought the shore excursions where included in a Viking Cruise but I hear about booling tours and costs. Could anyone please explain?
All Viking Cruises include at least one included/free excursion per day (depending on itinerary there might be a choice of two included/free excursions). These are guaranteed and no matter how many people sign up you are guaranteed a spot on the included excursion. We decided that we were goin to basically do what we would normally do on a cruise so no one was expected to just stick with the included excursion. In general the included tours are overviews of the city/area visited so if you want a more in depth tour they would be an added expense. As an example the Pompeii tour that the boys did was an additional $79 per person.

As someone who doesn't get excited by cruise ships because there is a water park, casino Broadway show, ice rink climbing wall or other nonsense that I have on land but much better, but is interested in visiting beautiful city's and culture and who likes to relax on board with a bit more space this all sounds fantastic. And no kids is a mayor plus.
I would love to see a cruise done with the free excursions and hear about that. Due to my health (or the lack of it) I would want to see if it would fit my needs.
