I've learned to use D4 to 3 out of HWS. If they are not parrying low then the 2nd hit typically lands with a delayed input of 3. If they are a masher on block then let the 3 rip instantly.

This stance is only good in heat for the counter. Whenever I go into this stance I get interrupted. And I'm in low ranks (assalliant). I really don't like her stances in general. People mash or grab you when you switch, basically when someone knows her, she's useless. Unless you master electrics and wave dashes, this character cannot be played effectively.
Its odd how in lower ranks it feels kinda more limiting because people often spam and don't respect your moves as much, but in higher ranks it looks like sometimes they either country or punish in different ways or respect you more and therefore give you more freedom to try other options. Course depends on the opponent and character but interesting nonetheless. Yoshi players countrer, powercrush, grabs sometimes just beat your stuff so you can play slightly differently with them.
Another thing with Heaven's Wrath is that quite a few options are linear. After the hellsweep transition, they can sidewalk the WRA 2 and WRA 3, 4 options. What you can do to keep them from stepping is WRA 1 which is a homing high. On normal hit, you get a guaranteed SEN 3 and on counter hit you get a guaranteed SEN 1+2 (can also get a perfect electric of you don't transition into Sentai).
I've been playing her since launch and she just feels like a complete waste of time. Still can't do electrics (30% success rate) and my wave dashes are slow as hell. I guess this character is not for me.
@@CG1337Noob grind and lab mostly, quickplay and the replay feature are your best friend to improve. I lab also popular characters like dragonuv or victor so you know when to punish their strings, and also I watch some streams of some pro players like tk_anakins's reina try to imitate how they play and how they initiate, that was a big factor in me climbing.
Great video. a bit much to digest though , could benefit from a summary of a few recommended options at the end and then obviously the rest of the video would still have the more situational ones.

Do you have any ideas for her low to the ground stance? Where she puts her hand on the ground. I can't remember what it's called or find to use for it. I thought it could duck highs, but it doesn't seem to do it consistently.
not exactly a frame trap I think but some opponents love to try to interrupt electrics. so when I get an electric blocked, I like using wind step 3 (f, n, 3). it's a fast mid, has obscene range and launchers in counter hit, but is very linear from what I know. you can also just sidestep/backdash and see if they whiff something. I've been using mostly 3+4, 4 as a whiff punisher as a lot of moves recovers ducking and electrics don't launch them.
I think any plus frames that lead into heavens wrath are really good as it is an auto parry so if they duck while running 4 you are typically safe from punishment.
Soooo in other words Reina is just too OP in this game. Every reina match that I have fought is ridiculously insane. Her combos are non stop and it pisses you off 😤
It may work in lower ranks but as you climb most people will respect +6 and just block or move, and DF2 can be block punished or maybe even backdashed 👍

Noice guide but as a Reina main, i fail to execute most moves in ranked as they are easily deflected by my rival. Such as most of the HW moves, launching with EWGF, time consuming lows.
Most other characters have lower execution barriers and better lows and are just better all around. (easier launchers, more counter hit options) and that alone makes her not good for a casual like me. Having a launcher on low stance makes you take a ton of damage where others can launch you from a quick low followed by a launcher (it's a string) for example.
sad reality is that you can barely apply any of this until like fujin because people press like crazy. have to go for the fastest and weakest options always especially below red ranks

For me they just block, and punish my random switch stances. Those frame traps don't help on blocking opponents. When it's their turn I get demolished. I think I won 1 set today that's it. I keep running into the same people that know everything I do since it's obvious to abuse things that work. So they wait for it and it doesn't work anymore. On my end, I learn nothing and the more matches I play, the more I lose. Time to switch character I guess.

F4 into DF1 is nice because you can hit confirm the follow up 2, recommend playing around with that.

If you're playing with a controller inputting 1+2 on L1 AND 3+4 on R1 helped massively. Changed the rage art and heat to L3/R3
