I've watched a bunch of Reina players on TEKKEN 8 Ranked and there are some things that I noticed that not many players use. Hopefully after watching this video you will have learned some things about how to play Reina that you didn't know before!
So lucky Anakin likes Reina so I can steal this glorious tech.
I have learned the most about Reina watching your streams and TH-cam guides far more than any other creator, very helpful
there are many VERY good, detailed videos from other people too, but you know what... i just went to youtube, because i had to search for stuff i can do in neutral with reina to stop the spam bullshit that hits me out of everything and puts me into free mixups afterwards. also i lost games after i started my offense in heat, since people mashed through my fucking stance transitions... and well, this video is the first i found, covering almost everything i wanted to improve on for now.
i played tekken 7, took a break, played sf6 and tekken 8 is really too alien for me right now. i die trying to play footsies in this game, lol.
Agreed bro. I was using anakin's streams and tutorials to master her. Ended up beating sonic fox in a ranked match with Reina yesterday xD he swiftly whooped my ass afterwards tho lmao
idle eagle mishima complex and thejoker are also amazing people to watch with different play style but mostly it’s about conditioning spam 1,2 after stance if you feel like they will mash i mix up my stance options a lot to overwhelm and i love throwing in 1+2 grab at wall at the end of my strings to recombo and after 2 pokes they are always dead

he is spitting facts with red ranks having no heart compared to low ranks. I never got a ragequit from someone that is below red rank it's always the red ranks dodging like little girls haha.
Something the easy wavedash via df3 is genuinely useful for is for hiding your hellsweeps, let me explain
If you do a wavedash manually she makes that electric spark sound+visual effect. If you do the easy wavedash that effect isn't there, it's silent. Against both offline and online opponents with sound on, the effect is a tell
i feel like its also the fastest way to do it. near instant. i call it her unblockable
I never even noticed she doesn't get the sound effect with the easy input, that's actually really good to know. I'll implement that.

You know I think your right I do hit sweeps alot more often outa the easy input especially after heat moves
It's also useful because it's bufferable unlike a regular cd input so you can do a no audio tell easier input buffer able hellsweep.
Seeing the stick movements helps so much when trying to learn how to dash cancel into crouch dash. Been struggling alot with that and end up getting moves I don't want.
I'm still getting moves I don't want 50% of the time. Running moves up close never come out for some reason, while rising moves' timings are still weird to me, I don't know.

The Dashing fillers and tricks are my jam. Cuts them off from pressing and interrupts.

recently I've been going to a crouch dash from heaven's wrath with heat pressure, so after heat engager you can do hell sweep -> heaven's wrath -> crouch dash -> hell sweep -> repeat forever
and you can mix it up with the heaven's wrath 2, or the 3,4 or wait for a parry, or throw

As a noob, at first I was unable to reproduce the crouch dash into easy ff moves trick, but then I realized you have to end the crouch dash in a forward input for it to work, as Anakin demonstrates (I was ending it in df)
So good! Yesterday I finally got into Mighty Ruler after one week stuck in red ranks. Turns out the things I was doing are the tips Anakin gives here. So good to know I'm on the right path

All good but every character has hyper armor moves, which makes pressure useless, how do you punish the hyper armor moves

I actually think DEWGF is the easiest way to do an electric. The reason is that you can delay the d,df:2 input after the dash until the dash animation has finished and still get the electric. Doing it fast is still difficult but I taught myself electrics in T7 doing f,f,...,d,df:2 and learning it as two separate motions. Give it a try in practice mode, you might end up warming up this way.
I think thats my problem. I will say so far, T8 feels slower than T7 hell, ttt2 and I am used to just kinda mashing it out and getting it like 30-40% of the time. I guess just slowing down is key in this game

Wait a second running up with heat engage and immediately going into HW is pretty smart if they duck a lot as an alt?
Is there a way to cancel out of Heaven's Stance faster outside of inputing df3?

I got a question tho, how u cancel the stance(heaven's wrath) so fast?
Down forward input cancels heavens wrath into wind step. You animation cancel the stance pretty early.
Do you ever use df42 to get into heavens wrath?
Late response but it’s minus on block (and maybe hit?) so it’s only good to use in heat to bait out an attack for a mid or high parry, to my knowledge

I dunno why either. It's very steppable, on block there's interruptions and counters for every option she chooses. And on hit, she only gets a good reward when she hasn't landed heat. Otherwise she knocks you away or opens herself up for another interruption or counter. It's just a good move. Nothing to nerf.

Is there a combo from reinas fff3 with no wall. They laying with their legs In the air but how can I pick them up
Wind God Kick to tack on some damage, that's about it. Still a nice chunk though. Not an extendable knockdown, so Heat Smash and Rage Art don't go into any animation. You can also ff2 and go for mix, but you're kind of guessing if they tech or stay on the ground after.
