Honestly, earthtone is probably one of the most easiest gateway to start caring about your appearance while simultaneously not putting too much thought into it. It gives you a foundation that can be worn anywhere and serves as a pipeline to other aesthetics because of how versatile it is. It'll probably never truly die out which is probably why it exploded so fast in current mainstream which is why everyone was so quick to jump on board. So for anyone feeling self conscious of being at the tail end of this trend, don't be it'll never die down. If it did creators like these wouldn't be able to make a quick buck out of a trend that didn't already have traction for them to monetize off of
It also works in with just about any style or sillouhette, so it's super easy to get onboard with and try out and not have to buy a whole new wardrobe for. But also, I think it's easy to get out of as well, because you can repurpose all of the pieces into new fits by just adding more colour elsewhere. Brown pants? It’s crazy how I just started getting into fashion about a 1 1/2 years ago and I’m finally catching up. Just hit that earth tone phase but from what you said in another one of your videos I’m keeping it to a small level of what I use and not diving in so I don’t get lost in it. I think this shift is accurate, but only as far as the cookie cutter beige and brown Essentials inflected looks are concerned. After years of leaning heavily in very dark blues, greys, and blacks plus pops of saturated colors, realizing the richness of some of these shades as a wider range became widely available really expanded my range of possibilities. I'd always picked out rusty shades, but was only pairing them with greys and blues. Perhaps because I was so averse to the bland khakis of the late nineties, I actively refused to consider anything in the brown range. Oddly enough, it was a dark brown cat that first had me considering the versatility of earth tones. I took the leap with a russet brown overcoat that I could pair with very dark green and have since found a lot of flexibility within the range of rusts, terracottas, ochres, and the like. I was feeling very stagnant and disconnected with fashion in the late 2010s and this helped to reinvigorate my interest. I never opted for the cappuccino look in the first place, so even as the trend wanes, I don't see myself stepping away from this range of colors.
it has to do with the color of the background earth tones would pop when the background is black or blue, and the black outfit will pop when the background is white, or gold, or red, in everyday life with unpredictable backgrounds I think earthtones will still do better, imagine going to the beach wearing solid black outfit, or visiting a garden with flowers and vegetation and you wear solid black, solid black only works when you sleep all day and going out only once the sun has set, or if you live either in a place with only concrete and asphalts around you or if you live in desert with golden sands around you, or if you live in hell.

I think this shift is accurate, but only as far as the cookie cutter beige and brown Essentials inflected looks are concerned. After years of leaning heavily in very dark blues, greys, and blacks plus pops of saturated colors, realizing the richness of some of these shades as a wider range became widely available really expanded my range of possibilities. I'd always picked out rusty shades, but was only pairing them with greys and blues. Perhaps because I was so averse to the bland khakis of the late nineties, I actively refused to consider anything in the brown range. Oddly enough, it was a dark brown cat that first had me considering the versatility of earth tones. I took the leap with a russet brown overcoat that I could pair with very dark green and have since found a lot of flexibility within the range of rusts, terracottas, ochres, and the like. I was feeling very stagnant and disconnected with fashion in the late 2010s and this helped to reinvigorate my interest. I never opted for the cappuccino look in the first place, so even as the trend wanes, I don't see myself stepping away from this range of colors.

it has to do with the color of the background earth tones would pop when the background is black or blue, and the black outfit will pop when the background is white, or gold, or red, in everyday life with unpredictable backgrounds I think earthtones will still do better, imagine going to the beach wearing solid black outfit, or visiting a garden with flowers and vegetation and you wear solid black, solid black only works when you sleep all day and going out only once the sun has set, or if you live either in a place with only concrete and asphalts around you or if you live in desert with golden sands around you, or if you live in hell.
