You can put 550,000 miles on the bMW M 57Y diesel inline 6 engine … this is the for reliability in the last 25 years
This engine was created brand new in 2010, as clean TDI (turbo, diesel, direct injection) this engine improved with the heaviest duty timing belts installed this engine can make a maximum output of 600 hp and 660 pounds of torque ….

In dealerships where the new car dept and used car dept are severely divided, how does it work when a customer comes in and one’s to look at a new one and a used one? Or maybe that just doesn’t happen as often as I think it does.

It happens pretty often and at most dealers that have new and used cars the salespeople handle both. Ironically BMW dealers are some of the most likely to have separation of new and used sales departments, so they might hand you off to someone else

@@CarDietrich Yes I know most salespeople handle both new and used. Just seems odd to separate like that.

Do you plan on tuning or leaving it stock?

Well its not mine, I rented it off of Turo for that review, but if I had one with that many miles on it I would probably leave it stock for the best possible reliability.

@CarDietrich I have not heard of reliability issues once tuned. They usually happen pre-tune due to the egr, dpf, scr, def.

Do you happen to remember the gas mileage. You may have said it and I just missed it
