When I had my first long range rifle built 14 years ago I had it built in 300RUM to hunt elk. Shortly after I started shooting it I was diagnosed with Parkinson's Disease and, due to tremors, I almost quit learning how to shoot long ranges. I discovered that when I used high levels of concentration my tremors stopped so, I proceeded with a goal to hit a target at 2 miles. It didn't happen until after I bought a NightForce ATACR FFP MOA scope, which allowed me the necessary adjustments not only for distance but for easier and more defined windage corrections, different range finder with excellent accuracy and a crew of people that were interested in helping me achieve my goal. But, the real reason I was able to finally score 2 hits 10 inches apart, was the concentration I applied to eliminate my tremors before I moved my trigger. Now that my disease has progressed to it's present state, I can't control my tremors though high enough levels of concentration anymore. I just help newbies get the basics to do what I did. Thanks again for what you and Sam do to help anyone who enters this wonderful sport, Mark, as you have no other equals.
Thank you for sharing this experience. People like you renew my faith in humanity. Mark and Sam are also perfect examples of experts that have the desire to share their craft to help others!
I have really enjoyed your frankness and trial and error approach to learning. There are a lot of great teachers on TH-cam for sport shooting but I never get enough of your ‘learn by doing’ approach. It encourages me to get out more with any caliber. Even .22 pistol at 100yds is a great challenge and learning process across technique, ammo and setup. Enjoying my son being a part of the journey with his Air Force .25 rifle, Marlin .22, and the Rem 300WM. Happy plinking and keep those zombies out of the bottom paddock mate. Rob from Florida
Love you two! Always great info. I've been applying your wisdom regularly. With your "help", I've got my middle kids, 10-16, putting 22lr on 4" targets at 300yds with ease. Getting ready to move up. Thank you again!
Always helpful and wise words, thank you for imparting your hard earned skills and advice to us, this wonderful shooting community, you two are 1's in a million!
I'm an old school guy where learning the hardway....is sometimes actually the best way (for some things 🤣 as a constructionworker I still have all my fingers .....but I've come close 🤣🤣) .....even though it sucks...you become better overall...cause your aware of the pit falls of "easy" I very much believe in the value of.....every time you get knocked down you get back up stronger and hopefully wiser..... and some people need to fall more then others ... Preach on mark.......I will always listen to the sermon!
Drove past your workshop last weekend after an archery event in Greenhills, my mate said, “Look, Marks Workshop, he does performance cars.” I said “ Ha, he does those shooting video’s.” Good to know you are appreciated in both fields.
I like how you bring up that this is one you y'alls team things, its definitely been something I have been working on my lady with. I hope one day we get to y'alls level of skill.
I've taken a one-year sabbatical from ELR; it's worked wonders. Think about it. Now, I'm back a true and faithful disciple of Mark and Sam from Southern California.
Love your videos. Love how you and sam work so flawlessly together. Awesome teamwork. I am looking at starting ELR as a hobby. Just to learn about ballistics and about my self and working with others. I love watching you two shoot. I get so excited that I sit on the edge of my chair and cheer for you guys. I love the tech videos also. Very informative. Thank you for sharing. Be safe. And enjoy.
I was just about to say, it was Sightron that came first before a NightForce 😬😉. I’m back in the market with employment. Not quite the same as before income wise but “it’s cash flow 👍”
Thanks for the great video. Picking up my first elr rifle Browning’s x bolt hells canyon 6.5 prc now have to get it set up. Ammo is almost impossible to find. Thanks for all the great info
Enjoy the ride, well said. Goes along with stop and smell the roses. I started all my shooting sports at the age of 65 to challenge myself, mind and body. And I love my $1,100.00 howa with scope and bipod. Great way to start I think. Love you guys.....cheers.....bill.

very informatave thank you for the effort you put in. many of us really apreciate it. i also have a question/obversation, i have noticed that you have no moderators on any of your guns and i fuiger that there must be a reason for it.. is it a legal thing or is it an accuracy thing? i ask mainly because ive found in every instance a mod had gained me or a client of mine accuracy. best wishes from scotland
Yes not legal here, and yes they can for some shooters and on some rifles offer a bit help with harmonic dampening, all in the details, but not all good too, Cheers
Whooa wait a second... So we are supposed to learn from our mistakes? ;-) That's the way my dad taught me too. Failing to learn from a mistake is a missed opportunity

Thank you for your story and carry the torch / passing to others. I pray you’re able deal and work with the limitations. God bless.
The hardest part is finding somewhere you can do it regularly and safely.
Agreed. Cheers
Finding a range past 100 yards is a pain

Good sound advice. I think I'm on the right track. Learn on .308 and get a big 30 cal later for longer range.
Cheers man, Thanks
Great info thanks, if I was to implement and understand 1percent from your talks, I would be the best hunter/shot.
Thanks

What’s the 4 for in 4AW?
For After Work
Here in Germany it‘s hard to shoot more than 300m. There are only a few ranges which have 500m. For more you have to travel to PL, CZ or Norway etc.
Cheers
