Our new generation of artists, athletes, innovators, and outlaws embody the Venice ethos of do, dare, and don’t mind what anyone else has to say about it. From old school legends to the latest up-and-comers, we are making our mark as world-class skateboarders, surfers, painters, musicians, hip-hop artists, chefs, entrepreneurs, martial arts masters, automotive innovators, dancers and more.

We are a surfing family in Southern California. My two black/Hawaiian nephews surfed on a pro level here and one is into making music. Whatever it is we are into it and have been successful. Motocross, surfing, Skateboarding, BMX…. Something about being in the water changes your DNA in a way that can't be explained.❤❤❤

only bummer is the waves suck in Venice... But you still got all the other good stuff with surfing, the joy of being in the ocean, the sunsets, the smell, the cold, the birds, seeing friends, etc. And when the waves actually get fun, its almost more enjoyable because of all the suffering.. ha ha.

This the best shit i seen in awhile! Brada is so chill! I wish wish wish my boy salaam could still surf but he had a stroke, now partialy paralyzed. He was a professional drummer making a living playing gigs, his father was a professional musician also. Almost every band that came to hawaii would hire black eagle to play percussion. Santana, gregory isaacs, pearl jam... and so many others! Anyway salaam was the only black surfer i knew and he ripped! Too bad! I bet him and kalvin wouldve hit it off instantly!

Love this! I am a Maui surfer and artist, surfing since age 14 and my music was hip hop rap, not punk which was the music of most surfers in the 90’s. I was different however these dope beats and rapping rhymes with meaning had that flow which matched the way I surfed. I still take my waterproofing ear buds with me in the water. Just imagine how great it is when your FAV hip hop song comes on at the same time you are on that perfect head high top to bottom wave. Your surfing matches the rhythm as you carve up and down the wave. This feeling is just magical! Any waves when you and your FAM come to Maui hit me up, I will take you all surfing. Aloha ❤
