Childhood is hard enough without parents fat shaming their children, they’ll get that enough from other children and their parents. How about if the parents along with a doctor and dietitian find a better way like encouraging healthy eating habits and fun activities that encourage exercise with the occasional treat or snack. I know from personal experience that it’s very easy to start feeding your feelings and telling someone that can’t have something without explaining the reason why only leads to certain types of food addictions.

IT'S ALINA'S DECISION AND NOT HER FORMER TOXIC FAMILY.
IF ALINA CHOOSES TO CHANGE ON THE WAY SHE EATS, THEN SHE DOES IT FOR HERSELF AND NO ONE ELSE.

Considering giving her up for adoption at 12,just for being overweight? The parents deserved what they got.ypu don't do that to your kid.

She made the right call and not getting back with her parents and brother. I mean what kind of parents give up their child because she’s overweight I would say disgusting parents. I’m just glad her aunt and uncle took her in. They gave her love and security they didn’t look down at her because she was that she said chubby her parents put her down at every chance they get so no she should never ever have anything to do with our parents ever again?

Those parents could have done the right thing and taught their daughter Alina how do you eat healthier and exercise a little bit for her age. They completely missed the boat by body shaming her. Parents make mistakes all the time. I do not feel that the parents deserved to have both of their businesses/jobs be lost.

It's great about body positivity. But also should talk about healthy eating and exercising. Not giving up everything n eating lettuce. But exercise is good for mental health. A balance of everything. But they don't mention any of that and that's important also

How do you know she's not eating healthy? Or exercising? Could be thyroid or other problems. They don't say. I know people who have high cholesterol even though they eat healthy and exercise.
The fact that she didn't lose weight is hard to handle for some people, so they come out with all this added advice.

ALINA'S MAKING A CHOICE TO CUT TIES WITH HER FORMER, TOXIC PARENTS AND FORMER BROTHER IS THE RIGHT ONE. IT'S HEALTHIER TO KEEP ONE'S MENTAL HEALTH IN TACT. I KNOW.

THE FORMER PARENTS AND FORMER BROTHER ARE LIKE SCHOOL AT 3 P.M.: THEY HAVE NO CLASS.
THE REASON THEY ARE DEFINITELY NOT PRONE TO THEM AT THE COUNTRY CLUB IS BECAUSE OF HOW THEY TREATED ALINA SO TERRIBLY. THOSE NO-CLASS IDIOTS DIDN'T EVEN GO TO ALINA'S GRADUATION. WHAT A SHAME, SHAME ON THEM!!
