Its so lovely to see a real person actually still producing something so lovely, with some of the struggles most of us have, tiny spaces, forgetting to press seams, I'd rather watch you anyday than an over edited perfectionist. Ive ordered some gorgeous fabric to follow along with your tutorial. Thankyou for keeping it real 💓
Thank you so much for saying so. Would love to see your bag when you finish it!
Oh Holly, you are just adorable!!! Sewing along with your video was just like sewing with a friend. Thank you.
I’m a long-time sewist. I usually make very complicated handbags and garments. Making this bag with you was so relaxing and entertaining. I hit that “Subscribe” button so fast!
I'm so happy you felt that way. It's an easy, but really useful little bag. Thanks for subscribing!
Great job. Easy to follow demonstration. Much appreciated.
Beautiful! Thank you so much, Holly..can’t wait to try this as my first sewing project and I’m 70 years young..wish me luck 🌺
You can do it!
thank you for this video - made my first tote bag today and it turned out beautifully - I surprised myself and couldn't have done it without your video
So happy to help!!
Holly! This is me jumping up and down with excitement that you are sewing and creating another tutorial! You share so many great little tips and have a lovely style that I enjoy following along with. I especially like that you take the time to write out the cutting instructions on paper! Your fabric selections are en pointe!!!
I just followed this and made a bag for my daughter. I absolutely love it and your tutorial was super easy to follow. Thanks.
You are so sweet. I really like your video. I love how happy you are in this video. So reminds me of my mother in law and she is one of my favorite people still alive lol. Thank you for doing this video. Please please please do more videos. I am fairly new to sewing so I am all about getting new patterns and videos.
I like the fabric you used.
I love florals!

Love that Rifle Paper Co. fabric. 😍. I think I'd add a zip in the side of the pocket and close the top. Cut the lining 1 inch longer and you'll have a ½" to roll to the front as an accent. Will definitely be making this one. 😁
An idea I had was instead of cutting off the blue pocket fabric since it's right side already (I think) fold it over and put a small seam on it (to look finished) and stitch it to the top of the pocket for a little added interest. Just a thought. I've saved your video and I can't wait to sew this!
This was great, I had a pattern that I got on the Robert Kaufman website and it was poorly written, I was so lost I found your site and was able to finish the bag. I hope to make future bags just like you just made.
Your bag is awesome, love the colours. Can't wait to start and make my own. Thank you for the tutorial and taking the time to explain every detail.
I made this bag and it's fantastic. Heavy duty, perfect size, my favorite for market/groceries. About to make a few more. 👍👍
Yay!! So happy it's working well for you.
This tutorial is brilliant. This was my first time attempting a bag and I am beyond chuffed with the result! ❤
Thanks Holly! Looks so simple . Last time I made a bag, I couldn’t find the right color webbing and the lady at the quilt shop showed me how to cover the webbing on the handles. So simple and it added a different flavor to the bag. Best of both worlds (I hope).
Love your tutorial? Watched it yesterday, went out and bought fabric for about three bags, and made one today!!
❤thank you for teaching and advice please do not change anything
I live in Allegheny County, PA, near Pittsburgh. Pittsburgh just banned single use plastic bags, and the county is expected to follow, so I think these would be the perfect Christmas gifts for my coworkers, there are three that work in my department and we do exchange gifts, so thank you so much for the tutorial! You explain things so well!
I'm so glad you liked it! You have some lucky co-workers!
So has Oregon, Im tired of paying $1.00 to get a bag...$1.00 adds up when you get groceries every week and need 2or 3 bags
Love it. Thanks for sharing it.
Fantastic. Can't wait to make one. Great job Holly.
Thank you from a beginner for all your tutorials!
Love that fabric 😊
Nice to see a video where items are sewn. Thank you.
This was posted on my sister's birthday last year, and it just showed up today in my suggested videos. I have a very similar sewing philosophy to yours: if you're looking for perfection, don't come knockin' on my door. I get 'er dun, but it ain't perfect. I think if I ever got something done perfectly I'd just throw it away and start over. LOL
Love 💕 your video Holly, very nice!
This actually looks like a true beginner bag (that I can do) when so many call a bag simple for beginners with like 5000 pieces and steps. I'm going to have to make this one. Thank you
You can do it! xo
Thanks for the tutorial! I can't wait to make one!!
Thanks for sharing! Your a great teacher. Thanks for taking the extra time to show all the details and explain things. The video and music is great!

Thank you, I'm so glad it was fun!
I am an old lady who just started sewing again after 40 years of not touching a sewing machine. Thanks for your wonderful instructions. I finished my bag last night and took it grocery shopping today. It came out terrific and it’s just the perfect size
Super cute bag. I think I’ll make a few. Good gift bags.

Thank you again, you are a delight to watch💕 Gisela
I just discovered your site and am so glad I did. So far it is great, I like someone who has a calm demeanor as well. But I do love your beautiful nails. I always notice nails as mine are stubs and look like …well…. Anyway I am enjoying the video an will be looking for others! Thanks JaneS

Holly - thanks SOO much for this bag tutorial. This is the easiest one I have ever seen. Makes me want to go and cut up some fabric and make one right now. Love how you did the bottom piece. I've seen a lot of bag making tips and tricks but the way you explained this it just seemed so easy. Hope I have time to make one this long weekend. Thank you again. ♥️👜
I love the fabric. It’s nice
You always seem to make these bags easy to make. I don't know if it's just my low self-confidence but I always struggle. I may give this one a try. Thank you for another awesome tutorial! have a fabulous Memorial Day weekend! xo
Great tutorial! Nice bag!
Sew easy. I have been looking for a great market bag. And this is a great one. I will be making it for Christmas presents. Thank you.
Great video, so good to see how to make a bag in such detail I am inspired to make some. Thank you.
Great job. It’s beautiful. I am going to make the bag.
You are a good instructor. I really really like your choice of fabric patterns. I’m a flower lover too. You made it seem so simple I might just give this a try. We can all use market bags these days. And why use ones that look like everyone else’s. Stand out, be distinctive! You are certain to get some compliments on this one. Someone will ask where you bought it for sure!!
Great job Holly🥰👍

Beautiful! Love your fabric choices. Getting ready to make this bag as I just found some pink/orange ombre denim (looks like sunset) on clearance, together with a matching floral for lining. 😊
Wonderful bag. I'm going to challenge myself with this one. Hope the straps being done like this will give the bag a little more strength for heavy glass purchases. Thank you so much for doing this vid and luv that you're so down-to-earth Holly. Awesome!

Thanks holly i luv it easy to make you are wonderful
You are so welcome!
Making this bag today! Love it so far, getting ready to cut my corners…. Wish I could send you a picture!
my email is holly.dandelionstitches@gmail.com. Would love to see a picture!!
I take my seams a little wider, I find it makes the bags stronger as they do seem to get a lot of use. I sometimes box my corners by cutting 1.5 inch squares on the bottoms. I have also done them by sewing the points that I attach to either the sides for strength or to the lining. Thank you for this turorial. I sometimes make my lining a tad longer so a small bit of lining nests on top of the outside, gives another look, then I top stitch.
I like you, I subscribed!
Thanks!
❤️❤️Too cute and great beginning tutorial!!! Thank you!!
