Video game collecting will always be a hobby. Same with collecting first print releases of DVDs and Blu-rays of any Japanese anime, movies, and any of the greatest TV shows/cartoons.
@Spartan77 Very true. That needs to make a huge, huge, long-awaited comeback ASAP, and retro video game stores need to lower the prices of these old school classic retro video game titles that have hiked up in prices (regardless of how rare and sought-after they are and what systems they're released on) because it is an absolute nightmare that these old school classic retro video game titles regardless of how rare and sought-after they are and what systems they're released on are overpriced and I'm so NOT HAPPY about them being too damn expensive to collect. There's absolutely no reason or excuse to raise their prices up. That's how much I really hope the bubble bursts about these ridiculously expensive prices plaguing the retro video game market.
@@Spartan77all those “covid collectors” that use to think gaming was for “nerds” destroyed the hobby by overpaying for them do to being uninformed and having a shitload of extra money due to the stimulus.
Glad to see another PS3 owner who still plays the games. Man a little sad but the Ps3/Xbox 360 was the last gen consoles of Sony and Microsoft that wasn't afraid to give original unique games a chance for gamers to try out. Now all that Sony and Microsoft as well as a some game developers do is re-release first party titles or the tired FPS multiplayer games which have saturated the game market.
Another great video bro!. I saw splatterhouse on PS3 for $50 CIB at Gamestop but I passed on it. Hopefully I bump into it one day for a little bit cheaper. Also keeping my eye out for Puppeteer. Trying to give my collection a boost! 😄✌🎮
Nice! That lost in the game is heavy hitter, I was really disappointed it never got an NA release. How did you get it? I'm not really familiar with the last guy, I definitely gotta check that one out.
Hi! Big time PS3 collector since 2010, here. If I may, these are the most common of rare PS3 games. Happy I got most of these for dirt cheap, guessing their potential back then.
So far out of all of these i have: Alice Madness Returns, Armored Core 4, Blur, Silent Hill Downpour and Splatterhouse, not bad but def need a few more.
I have both PS3 and Xbox 360 whenever I found a ''rare'' title on PS3, I also try my best to find it on xbox 360. Surprisingly there are games like (Lollipop Chainsaw, Splatterhouse, Silent Hill series etc.) are cheaper on Xbox 360 Complete or Loose copy but there are games that are also slightly cheaper on the PS3 than on X360 like the Spider-Man games (Shattered Dimensions, web of shadows, edge of tomorrow etc.)
Have you looked at all your disc's under a good light source? I looked through my collection and was surprised to see how many games have very small pin size holes right through them, there are no scratches they all look as-new, I can't get a decent answer on whether this is a problem or not but it hardly seems like a good thing, I've replaced the 8 effected out of around 70 and fortunately none of those titles were anything that was difficult or expensive to replace, do you know anything about this phenomenon and is it a problem? I also noted that of all the games with the issue all but one was bought used.
I noticed some of my games have as well. It could be a manufacturing defect because I purchased a brand new game and used a light source to see if I could find any pin holes and found some in the game. The game still works, but i was really disappointed. I've made a note of every game that I came across in my collection that has them. Sadly, there's probably about 20 in my collection that has does tiny holes. The games still work, and I believe everyone will deal with seeing the pin holes in at least one of their games. Some people say it's disc rot, but there is a distinction between a manufacturing defect and disc rot. To tell you the truth, most likely, all disc game will stop working in the future, but that's will probably not occur in our lifetime (hopefully).
@@Forgotten7Retros Yeah, it just sucks if you really look after your stuff, but I suppose like everything they have a date with which they'll seize to work, people argue cart's are safe, they really aren't, a powerful enough Electromagnetic Pulse could quite easily wipe out your whole collection and the console they play on, now that is terrifying! I need to get my stuff insured, ha, ha, ha!
Great game collection, you got here! The only games I own from your collection on X360 are Lollipop Chainsaw and Alice Madness Returns. I bought Lollipop Chainsaw [X360] and [CIB] on Facebook Marketplace for $20 almost 3 years ago, I got it signed by Tara Strong at Fan Expo Chicago 2023. I bought Alice Madness Returns [CIB] for X360 [DLC too] on Ebay for $28 about 2 years ago. I got it on my 32nd birthday. I just wish EA would get their head out their fucking ass and let American McGee make Alice 3! 🙁. Silent Hill Downpour and Asura's Wrath are currently on my game search list
I got all those but don't have any of the heavy hitter spider-man like shattered dimension, edge and shadow of web those are all expensive and not sure if you have them since you didn't show them. Even the first ultimate marvel alliance is becoming expensive now too.
You're 100% correct. Those Spiderman games are heavy hitters, but every time I come across them, they're each like $100 or more to purchase. I was never able to find them for cheap to buy them.
Yeah I have all the spiderman games on PS3 I bought them back in 2018 when I first noticed them getting expensive. I spent like 50 bucks on web of shadows and got shattered dimension and edge of time for about 50 bucks each. It was a lot of money to me back then but now all them are over 100 bucks.
