Damn, i feel like all the reaserch and development went into the Djms11 rather than the CDJ 3000s. This is one bad ass mixer. 😍 i love how they have all the old school effects. And the 2 functions on any pad bank. 🤪
I can see some of these feature being implemented into the CDJ 3000, especially as it's processor is extremely fast now.. I knew Pioneer had the tech, they were just waiting to drop bombs.
I have a question? Since I can connect with 2 laptop or in my case (IPad pro Algorithm Dj) I was thinking to connect each iPad for each side and build up my custom dJ controller!!!🤔🤔🤔 any advise??
I could be wrong, but as far how I understand it, the DJM-S11 doesn’t work with djay on the iPad. It’s computer only. May want to check with Algoriddim about that.

hi, please tell me how good and durable the channel faders are in s11, I heard that for example in s7 they are not reliable and can fail, I wonder if in s 11 they are the same as in s 7 or a class higher and is it difficult to change them if they break ? Thank you

Does it seem like there’s multiple steps to access and use channels 3 & 4? It seems like it to me. I wonder if there’s shortcuts to get there quicker. Im just imagining it to be challenging to go through all those steps during a set.
If you're on the main menu, it's just one click to get to the decks. If you're on the waveform, just press the home button > the one click to one of the decks.

Hey what's up homie! No, you can't set two effects on each channel. However, keep in mind, the filter knobs aren't just for filters. You can do 5 other Color FX on them.
Yes. It still functions like a regular mixer when you use it with vinyl or CDJs standalone. Eskei83 is a DJ known to use the S11 with and without a laptop.

The reason I ask is that I am typically a Progressive (Sasha style) dj and my regular set up (Xone 96 and two cdj 3ks) isn't really a scratch set up. I mix with my reverse crossfader on but my headphones cue channel is reverse do you know how to do you know how to get it where cue-1 is for table 1 etc for cue 2 the s9 does it.
It is more grey with flake grain. Honestly, it’s a mixer. It’s the center piece. Doesn’t have to match since it symmetrically can contrast the two decks.
No it doesn't, and this is by design. The knobs do click, but it is an open and collapse function for crates. The load and back knobs are underneath the scroll knobs. The reason it was designed this way is to prevent accidental loading of tracks.
If you noticed, many recent products have been coming out that are both Rekordbox and Serato compatible. However, you have to note that they are usually optimized for for one software over the other. The S in DJM-S11 and even the S9 stand for “Serato”. Meaning, it’s a Serato mixer. Rekordbox compatibility is secondary. With other products, it’s other way. The DDJ-FLX6 is a Rekordbox optimized controller with additional Serato compatibility. XDJ-XZ and DJM-V10 are optimized for Standalone, then Rekordbox, then Serato. The devices are always designed with a primary software in mind, and the S11 is a Serato mixer. When you see a Nexus style mixer and FX section, it’s most likely going to be Standalone or Rekordbox. If you see paddle FX triggers or Serato internal FX controls, its most likely going to be for Serato.
Yes but I don't recommend it. The reason is because if you change the input selector to the other computer, the connection will disconnect. When it comes to hard drives, keep it connected directly to the laptop.
Frame rate at minimum 30fps did you actually just say that as if it is supposed to be something amazing? Did you also say less jitter? There is no reason why Pioneer should not be making these screen frame rates on new equipment 60fps minimum...and really pushing for 90fps...apart from that. This mixer looks superb...and must have been Pioneer djs main focus in 2020 because the CDJ3000s look like an after thought
most people will not notice the difference between 30fps & 60fps on that display, and ofcourse 60fps will cost more to implement, i'd take the reduced cost for a feature most will barely notice.

I'm torn between the S7 and S11. I don't know if I want to fork over an extra $600 for the touch screen and added features.

Yes, you can leave the display at different views. Browse, FX Settings, Touch MIDI, Touch FX, or Deck 3 or 4.

Yes you can. In fact, it's a great way to use Serato with the CDJ-2000NXS2 in HID mode connected to the USB hub of the mixer.

Actually, the XP2 makes using 16 hot cues much easier

On the S9 the echo doesn’t have a trigger. That’s the advantage of the smooth echo is you can choose a trigger, including the crossfader cutoff.

There is a Sampler FX function here too. The secondary function of a Smooth Echo (when you hold shift) activates sampler FX.

Dual Deck, Deck Move, and Scratch Bank, are currently features that are exclusive to Serato DJ and exclusive to the S11.

Will the scratch bank available to other hardware? S9 or seventy or seventy two?
It’s an S11 exclusive feature with Serato. Scratch Bank only opens when the S11 is connected.

The only other mixer in the market with a display is 20fps and known for waveform latency.
