Unboxing & Review of JoyToy x Warhammer 40K Grey Knight Space Marine Ancient (Standard Bearer)

- JoyToy action figure fans! We are going to take a look at the first of four Grey Knights that were released. The one we are taking a look at today is the Terminator with the standard or the Grey Knight Ancient. As usual, we will be using our painter's eye to scrutinize the painting on this figure and then we will move on to articulation and other fun stuff. Let's see how this center piece is translated into action figure form!

Wow! That terminator grey knight is beautiful. The iconography is Inquisition related, couse they are the muscle of the Ordo Malleus, vanquishers of demons. The blue tone of the metal could be a shade like drakenhoff nightshade.

Brother Sprues, The grey knights were finally coming to me, all 4 of the squad minus Crowe since i poed him from other store, it was a surprise cos i thought they will come in the early next year, damn now i need to order the venerable dreadnought of grey knight tomorrow,its ready stock in my local store, man i was so happy, just like in your review, they are so cool and intimidating plus no defects yay!!!
Defects on the Grey Knights are very minimal. That's why you haven't heard me nit-picking as usual which to be honest is really nice that we are getting what we are paying for.
I hope that you get your GK soon as they are fantastic to add to any collection.

Ive been sitting here spending some time with my second Retius Akantar and I think im going to keep the shoulders how they are and not glued to the shoulders like the display set i have. I kinda play around with this one. I have doubles of three of the knights, and am currently haveing a positive experience with the Joytoy company customer service. I have been glueing the thigh insert steady to the knee joints. But i love these and will continue to pick more up.
Mines ordered along with Incanus. Was leaning towards pre order of solar watch but I want to finish the grey knights and get the dreadknight.

Thank you thank you! Coincidentally, I actually did a size comparison a few months back on the channel. I think that I may need to revisit and do another one because so many different action figures have been released since then.

With regard to your question, this is a terminator. Just for future reference, you can tell when something is a terminator if you flip the action figure around and in the back there are 2 characteristic vents/ grills that dominate the back of the figure.
One of my GK list includes an 1 Imperial Knight. This makes me wonder how compatible is scale that banner and sword might be with that knight
Hmmmm I suppose that there is only one way to find out right? I don't personally have a GW Imperial Knight but at some point in time may be we can do a comparison.
That banner is amazing, Gotta get the Grey Knight with a decapitated head to go with this one
Definitely the SICKEST banner made by JT to date. I would highly recommend you get the Grey Knight sergeant with the decapitated Bloodletter head. Don't ask me how I know lol
@@SpruesNStuds Can confirm, that one's all kinds of rad, but then all of them are; they were well worth that hefty delay between announcement and shipment (which was mainly because those first versions didn't get the final GW sign-off they need to actually put any of these figures into production, on account of the way the storm bolter was shaped on those prototypes, so they had to rework them).
Oh? I didn't know that was the reason why JT had to delay the release of the GK. Thanks for the insightful information. I am really glad that JT took the time to rework these action figures because they are amazing
