Thanks as always for watching, liking and subscribing! Felt great to have a reason to revisit Furi and today, I break down the base game and DLC considering my original review was from way back in 2018. Will you be picking up this cheap DLC that changes the game? Respect to The Game Bakers for still supporting the game this many years later!
I’ve seen some thumbnails where the character was a girl and somewhere there was a boy can you choose the gender of the character
This dlc was an unexpected surprise for me, bought it right away since I find this game to be an enjoyable challenge.
One of my favorite games, and the DLC only gives the combat more depth.

It doesn't look like a game that I would enjoy personally however it is always nice to see developers supporting their games with updates and DLC. This sounds like a refreshing moment for the fans out there.
I've always been interested in this game, and its currently on sale (the base game) for 50% so I think this is the perfect time to jump on in!
I would rather devs released a payed dlc than bring a second game out with very little differences. Not my type of game but kudos to the devs for sure. Purely what they have done here actually makes me want to dip my toe into the genre
I think it definitely depends on the content and price. I like how Demon Turf handled it where it was a new game, but smaller and a much lower cost to entry.

A studio that supports their games years later is always going to be good with me, plus they did a ton of free updates as well, good on them

Been wanting to revisit this game for quite some time. My only gripe is the bullet sponginess of the bosses. IIRC you had to fight for up to 3 minutes without any mistake for an A or S rank.
I played this on the PS in French audio (Eng subs) - I think it fit perfectly.
Going to get the DLC for the Switch and escape again

Just make sure you grab the base game and DLC separately - the base game is discounted so it comes to like 17 bucks, the bundle has no discount so it's more expensive currently
@@SwitchCorner On Steam it's less expensive to buy the bundle rather than buying them separately.
I already finished it on PS4 a few years ago, but I bought it again yesterday on PC with this Onnamusha DLC.
Really enjoying replaying it!
Just purchased the definitive edition and plan on playing it soon
Not sure why I slept on this one as it sounds exactly like the kind of challenge I love from a video game. Going straight on the wishlist!

I don't own the base game but I can tell you it's just not a game that I'll enjoy. But it's good to hear that this dlc is good and Im happy for those we theat do enjoy it.
i play this with french dub&english subs .... and i dont even understand french. the voice acting just fit!

I love action games. Indie ones are hit or miss. I mostly liked Hades and Curse of the Dead Gods but is this one any good? I’m hesitant because it’s action mixed in with twin stick shooter??? Say what!?!? Does the combat have depth?? Looks interesting.

I bought the base game(1.35$) and DLC ($1.32) in Argentina eshop.
From all I've heard about this game for so many sources is that it's not just challenging but *frustratingly* challenging. This one looks great but I'm not in the mood for frustrating challenges. Would be nice if they made a casual mode.

I appreciate that they released new DLC but i have a suspicion there are ulterior motives like maybe an excuse for a wider physical release. Furi is still one of the more sought after switch physical releases
With Celeste and Love in a Dangerous Spacetime getting new prints I would avoid paying too much for it

I got the first physical release from limited run games. It took like a year to arrive.
@@InnerRise yea through fangamer but it’ll probably end up in some retailers like Best Buy for example. There is actually new Celeste DLC as well however I don’t think it’s official and most likely won’t make it into the new physical release
The switch physical market is really picking up and I wouldn’t be at all surprised if Furi ends of with a complete edition physical release
Just bought DLC due to sale going on, and im kinda annoyed, it doesn't work with the physical copy which I have, you have to buy the eshop version of normal game for it to work

Like Eldest Souls. Looked fun, and I quickly hit a wall. Probably fifty attempts against the third boss and finally gave up.

@@brufleth6299 With the invincibility mode included for free now, it may be worth a revisit, you can skip moments that are too challenging, dial down challenge etc

Kinda odd that the new character is the same character with makeup and a slightly more narrow face. "Paid New character" would be better described as "paid sex change". To be somewhat fair- the original character had feminine qualities in their looks to begin with, so maybe it works?! No gripes with that choice for the actual update. Just not a fan of false advertisements, AT ALL! It needs to do what it says on the tin! PEACE ✌️
