3:13 Anyone know about that one speedrun trick in Zelda: Ocarina of Time where Link can pull out a bomb, shield in front of it, and get launched backwards really fast once it explodes? I'd like to think this is the spiritual successor to that trick
Most videos like this are usually semi well known stuff, but this was genuinely amazing! I knew a few of them, but most of these facts are super obscure AND useful!

At 2:03 when you mentioned the activate Pow Bowser thing, I actually made a boss fight out of that
did you know that super Mario world style victory fanfare changes if you have the bonus music placed on mario? it plays the bonus area complete theme instead of the level complete theme. for some reason this doesn't work for the other styles for some reason, and this only works with the bonus music although there are tracks that would fit it.

Could be useful for troll and puzzle levels (my favourite type of levels to play and make)
Okay, the porcupuffer explosion I didn't know! Neither I did the key egg! For the rest I knew most of them. Bit since I've been doing alot of research I am really satisfied with some stuff I still learned!
31. There are 2 things I would want to include:
- The one with the white semisolid is a reference to the original SMB3 game, where a level had one of those and if you did the same thing, you would go into the background and get a secret. In SMM2, this little hop is the character's failed attempt to get that secret.
- If you get rid of a koopa's shell while they're watching, they will get sad, and then still chase after you.
10 were new to me, the other 40 I knew; the new ones were still cool though

The word “Purple Fire” was Yoshi spitting out poison.
It sure is! They just reskinned the fire to be purple and called it poison
Arrowstotle They made actual poison balls in the NSMBU theme.

@@Arrowstotle Poison balls have a different appearance from lava in New Super Mario Bros. U style and poison is weaker than lava in-game.
my favorite that I did not know was the putting stuff in Yoshi eggs. I knew a total of 40 of these.
if you have an effect on a player and that stage is played in versus, players can still activate the effect while in the countdown - to - start screen.

Fun fact: you can combine the sky semisolids in nsmbu style . the colors are blue , yellow and crimson so you can create all possible colors.
[EDIT]: look up the color wheel so you can know what colors you can mix.

I learned about that stretch night behavior from the Mario Wiki. I went to the SMM2 gallery page and went to the sprite section.

Interesting enemy combination: put any enemy that is on a winged goomba and then you have a little shooter enemy
It would be cool if instead of lava bubbles being red in the night jungle theme, they would be purple
I already know that a dry bones shell can OHKO (One Hit Knock Out) bosses.
The ones i knew about:
7 - Yoshi can spit Bones
8 - Yoshi can spit poison
13 - On/Off Switches change the light some blocks emit
16 - Link's Bomb Kills the Angry Sun
19 - Koopas change color based on the shell they pick up
20 - Koopas that pick up Big Shells makes them Big
21 - Pokeys and Wiglers(?) Cast a Beam of light from their eyes
26 - Adding Power-ups to Checkpoints gives them to the player when he gets the checkpoint
28 - Shell-less Koopas chase after the player when he holds a shell
40 - Holding Down will make the "Play Dead" move Last longer
44 - 3D World Style has 2 Types of POW Blocks
45 - Player without the Super Leaf can make use of the Super Leaf power when holding a player that has so
48 - Magikoopas can make the Flag Pole Dissapear temporarily
50 - Copy + Paste Ground Tiles with decoration on them to Have more Decoration Blocks
0:34 P0W blocks can also hide and you can walk across
I noticed the power ups can go in check points
I know that twisters can be used underneath !
