I incorporate space for myself in the mornings! I journal, pray for the things I’m grateful for, speak life and encouragement into my soul and take a 5-10 minutes of meditation. 💜
1- be gentle to yourself 2-develop emotional intelligence 3- create and communicate in your boundaries 4-who you are is enough 5-embrace your uniqueness
Nope. Didn't learn anything new here. Maybe it's because I'm 57....but probably not. Thanks for saving me the trouble of listening to this intentionally and unusually calm woman's annoying voice.
Extraordinary person reading this, you are not define by your circumstance or your past. It’s not what happened to you that determines your success in life; it is how you deal with those circumstances that determines your success in life! You are strong, you are capable and practice forgiveness (Forgiveness is for you) and gratitude everyday. This will change the course of your life forever! Love you always and I believe in you wholeheartedly ✨❤️ - Nat
I am learning to detach and walk away from a life of codependency. I've always prioritize everyone else's needs before honoring my own. This is just the beginning.
I came from an abusive childhood. I was darker than my siblings and didn’t know my father. I had several stepfathers and felt very unwanted and unloved. What I have realized at 56 is that none of that has anything to do with who I am. They have made me an amazing mother and wife and friend. I think I have shared this here before? I tell my children, we are spiritual beings having a human experience. I am a huge empathetic and I want to help others and it brings me so much joy and fills my heart. LOVE WHO YOU ARE! Embrace who you are and do not waste one more moment of one more day. You are so special and so amazing! To all of the women out there feeling less than, don’t allow a world that doesn’t appreciate our real beauty or the fact that aging is a beautiful gift to change you ! Please don’t change your face or your path or who you are for ridiculous standards. You are spectacular 🙌🏻🍑🧡Lisa
Self love means Taking care of your own needs and not sacrificing your well being to please others When you set boundaries with people that is mean is healthy..
In case no one told you today. You're beautiful. You're loved. You're needed. You're alive for a reason. You're stronger than you think. You're gonna get through this. I'm glad you're alive. And don't ever give up!
Sophie - I recently found your amazing channel. I am hooked! I love your calming demeanor and your careful choice of words. I am 82 years young and have spent a good portion of my life accumulating "stuff" and recently had to unload so much of it. All of the things I thought I couldn't live without suddenly had to find another home. It was not that difficult to get rid of the things I no longer had space for. The things you say have truly helped me to learn to focus on the quality of life rather than the quantity of things. You are such a lovely young woman and I love the fact that you are such a thoughtful person finding so much to be grateful for without having to go shopping. Thank you for the genuineness you share with your subscribers. I think the world needs more of what you are talking about in the form of mindfulness in what we think, our self-talk and where we choose to spend our money. You are such an inspiration.
Your honesty and transparency is so inspiring. Realizing your strengths and embracing your weaknesses in order to love yourself and others more is such a priceless skill. I’m learning how to treat my failures as lessons, beautiful video 💜
Beautiful video! I loved “ just because someone gets upset because you say no, doesn’t mean you should’ve said yes” so true… and nice to hear that reassurance ;)
Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful story. I truly needed this right now. I will never again let anyone make me feel small for investing in myself and for loving myself and for having healthy boundaries for saying NO.
As someone who has suffered from self- deprecation, judging oneself to have underachieved, your vlog really spoke to me at a deep level. Somewhere along the line I learned to forgive myself and to just laugh at life with vehemence. The content you have provided here is extraordinary! Merci, mon ami! 😎🔥
And peace come into my house and hearts once I started this video and listening her calming, sweet and lovely voice!! Is incredible how much some "strangers" bring you peace ❤️💐
I love your videos . This one came at the right time . I said NO to a situation today that I knew if I wouldn’t of , would of taken me out of my peaceful space . This person is close to me so that’s always difficult but I am learning now in my 40s to always live in my truth. I am learning to create boundaries and that is what keeps me at peace .
I think that loving someone else is more important than self love. I can truly realize that caring for my children has taught me how to truly care for another human and love them deeply. But the love for God is greater in me than any other love and my values and my faith have made me a Great person. I'm so grateful today I'm 44 my eldest son is 28 he was not planned ofcourse and He came into this world in the most negative worst circumstances; but my grandma showed me how to love him. I really didn't want a child that came out of that situation. Then I got married to a loving man one that changed my way of seeing men. I have three daughters with him ages 25, 23 and 20. I'm grateful for my family. Love is Great.
*To all the dreamers out there, don't ever let the world's negativity disenchant you or your spirit. If you surround yourself with love and right people, ANYTHING is possible.* 🙏🖤
2:00 note to self. Sometimes I did my best. Sometimes I didn't but knowing what I now know, it made me a better version of myself. I still wrestle with head and heart knowledge at times.
*The one thing I do for myself is knowing/learning when to say "No" I sometimes will get overwhelmed because I feel I should help everyone who ask for help. I'm learning it's ok to say no or to do nothing at all, there is value there also and it's a time of rest for me.* 😊💕
This video had me crying throughout it's entirety. I can't thank you enough for this. I definitely will be watching this video everyday to keep myself encouraged. Thank you so so much, you beautiful soul.
i have too much flaws more insecurities with myself and sometimes i hate some parts of my body but starting to love myself cuz i realize if i wont love myself who would does.
There was a couple gems shared in this video but the one that stands out most to me was the idea that what we have makes up who we are. But also... the things we don't have and the circumstance we're in also makes us who we are. It contributes to the essence of our being and makes our uniqueness that much more valuable. That was so powerful to me because we're taught that what we have and the more we have makes up who we are. Who we aren't and what we dont have is just as powerful.
This was truly one of your best videos! I loved your quote "Saying no to others is saying yes to me". Something I had to learn the hard way and I still have problems with saying no (although it got better ;)). It's really deeply connected to self-love to say no to things like overtimes, annoying jobs, and so on. I also think that it's a little bit sad that we all struggle with it. Self love and self care are so important and should be tought at school.
These are amazing tips. Watching this video is so soothing 😌 The tip about being gentle with yourself matters because we have to be kind to ourselves. That’s the ultimate form of self-love. The world is cruel and wicked enough so let’s at least treat ourselves well.
Real Self-Love Habits That Changed Me 💗 Quick notes: 1:04 be gentle to yourself 2:30 develop your emotional intelligence 4:19 create and communicate your boundaries 5:45 who you are is enough 7:13 embrace your uniqueness
This has got to be the hardest thing! And I think there's so much self talk that goes unnoticed and it can sometimes have negative effects on our self esteem and well being. Thus reminds me, I've gotten off meditating, something helpful to my self awareness. Never been good at journaling, but that could help. But I'm glad you did the work to have a good relationship with yourself so you can model it for us! Thanks!
Another wonderful video! Setting boundaries is such and important part of our well being and can often be hard to recognize and enforce with others. People tend to want to be people pleases. One way that I offer to my practitioners is that if someone asks you to do something that makes you hesitant to act upon (not necessary because it's a new activity or such), such as staying late at work, coming into work unscheduled, or infringes on your self-care time, that would be an example of where your boundary lies. Recognizing that slight hesitation is the first step in enforcing our boundaries and promoting our well being.
This video brought tears to my eyes, stunningly beautiful, Sophie as always, you are a master at articulating things in such a calm and peaceful way. You are shining example of being an oasis in a chaotic world, thank you for all that you do.
I think being beautiful on the inside, kind and loving is the best gift anyone can have. It definitely brings you more joy and healthy relationships. But you are also a beautiful girl on the outside too. You have a lovely face and beautiful hair.x 😊

You nailed the things that may haunt the subconsciousness. They oftentimes play on repeat and can be so unbearable that it becomes hard to move foreword with confidence, to make new connections, to allow oneself to be loved.

I stumbled across your video and I RARELY make comments on videos (only like 3-4 times in my life) but I had to comment because this was one of the most beautifully stated "self-care" videos I have ever seen. Dear Sophie this one made me cry as I am not well as a result of not taking care of myself the last few years (a death) I can relate to everything you say and hope to do better. Thank you for the hard fought wisdom (and the close-up of Lily who I absolutely love.❤)
Something I do for myself is never give in or agree to someone else's lie just to make them feel good, no way! I live 💯 authentically, and that includes being still if the joke is nor funny or I'm not interested in buying.
This video is so inspiring! The journey of self-love and standing up for yourself is truly transformative thank you for sharing this reminder we all need! ❤
I just want to say that ... *I love myself, I'LL always love myself no matter what🦋💓..* Loving your self is not bad 😊... You should love your self how ever you are 🦋❤️... You should not change your self for others 🦋😊.... You are you !!!🦋❤️
It was so nice to hear this. I also struggled with identity issues, born in one country but lived in five foreign ones. Too foreign for all of them, and now too foreign for where I’m actually from, as well. I realized home is a feeling we create for ourselves, no matter where we are. Thank you for this video and your honesty 😊
Hearing you, the way you see life. The things you’re doing . The things you like. The changes you made. I can resonate 😍 I feel so inspired. 💕 PS: Your videos make me relaxed ❤ Thank you!🫶
I just moved to a new place and everyone here have been talking about how my sisters are so pretty but how I'm not.. I've been feeling so insecure about myself lately especially as my family also have been insulting me flaws (not purposely, just bad choice of words) so thank you for posting just when I need it.. ❤️
THANK YOU SO MUCH. A TOTALLY AWESOME VIDEO. EVER SINCE MY DIVORCE, I HAVE LEARNED TO LOVE MYSELF MORE. I AM STILL ON THIS JOURNEY AS WELL. I DO NOT HAVE ALL THE ANSWERS. BUT I AM MAKING BETTER DECISIONS NOW. AND I AM SO MUCH HAPPIER. I NEED TO RETURN TO THE GYM. AND WORK ON THE EDSEL. LIFE IS ABOUT BALANCE IN ALL AREAS. THANKS FOR LETTING ME SHARE.

Self check in. You've made it this far!

Vulnerability is not the sum...

5-embrace your uniqueness
Thank You 😊 my friend 💖

Another wonderful video!
Setting boundaries is such and important part of our well being and can often be hard to recognize and enforce with others. People tend to want to be people pleases. One way that I offer to my practitioners is that if someone asks you to do something that makes you hesitant to act upon (not necessary because it's a new activity or such), such as staying late at work, coming into work unscheduled, or infringes on your self-care time, that would be an example of where your boundary lies.
Recognizing that slight hesitation is the first step in enforcing our boundaries and promoting our well being.

I live 💯 authentically, and that includes being still if the joke is nor funny or I'm not interested in buying.
This video is so inspiring! The journey of self-love and standing up for yourself is truly transformative thank you for sharing this reminder we all need! ❤
You are beautiful.
I really like how you express yourself.
Healthy boundaries are definitely worth setting.
Thank you for sharing all that you do :)
Thank you so much ❤
I just want to say that ... *I love myself, I'LL always love myself no matter what🦋💓..* Loving your self is not bad 😊... You should love your self how ever you are 🦋❤️... You should not change your self for others 🦋😊.... You are you !!!🦋❤️
❤️❤️❤️
It was so nice to hear this. I also struggled with identity issues, born in one country but lived in five foreign ones. Too foreign for all of them, and now too foreign for where I’m actually from, as well. I realized home is a feeling we create for ourselves, no matter where we are. Thank you for this video and your honesty 😊
This is beautiful. I'm on the same path.
Hearing you, the way you see life. The things you’re doing . The things you like. The changes you made. I can resonate 😍
I feel so inspired. 💕
PS: Your videos make me relaxed ❤
Thank you!🫶
I just moved to a new place and everyone here have been talking about how my sisters are so pretty but how I'm not.. I've been feeling so insecure about myself lately especially as my family also have been insulting me flaws (not purposely, just bad choice of words) so thank you for posting just when I need it.. ❤️
Being compared can be so frustrating. I hope you stay strong and know how beautiful you are even without validation
Saying No to others us means saying Yes to me. It doesn't mean I should have said YES!! OMG..its so True
This gives me so much validation and encouragement. Thank you for this ❤️
This is wonderful. Thank you so much for your honesty. So refreshing and special xxx
Thanks for watching
This video was really needed, thank you ❤️
🥰 happy to hear that!
Young lady you are wise beyond your years, gentle and inspirational. Nay many blessings be bestowed to you. ❤
Looved the video~
I've struggled to add intentional gratitude into my daily life. Maybe I'll start with the 5 things list at bedtime too :)
Yes! Try it. Coming up 5 things is easy enough to do every night
Thank you ♥️
This is just lovely. Thank you. 🙏🏼
Thanks Kevin ❤
@@MalamaLife you’re welcome!
Am I the only one who thinks she literally looks like a model with her hair up?
