Benji not only painted fakes, he signed the front and back of hundreds of inferior counterfeit Norval Morrisseau forgeries, yet he continues lying about this and shamelessly playing the victim. In clips from “There Are No Fakes” Benji denies forging Norval Morrisseau art and muses about spirit’s blowback for doing so.
Benji needs to apologize to the First Nations and the public, and be directed to hunt down and identify his decrepit forgeries so they can be destroyed. In this manner he can assist in repairing the gross damage he has inflicted. Anything else is just coddling him.
