A few mistakes in the video 1: prince Melchezar was the first starting game card. 2 Baku and genn didn't cause the creation of the hall of fame. They were the first and only cards to be hall of famed early before rotating
Seeing his reasoning for Discover, Battlecry wouldn’t place very highly because, despite the fact that many of the best minions are played for their battlecry, it also spans the widest breadth of doggy doodoo sub-filler cards.
What is up with Start of Game section including the wrong version of Nozdormu and Archbishop Benedictus? I am surprised that you managed to include Prince Renathal as an technical Start of Game effect yet show the wrong version of the mention cards. Edit: I think you should have included Whizbang the Wonderful as an example of Start of Game as it was (is?) the most requested card to be permanently added to the classic set.
I belive is an editor fault or maybe he is giving the editor the wrong cards (?, either way I love how these videos are edited, sadly it still trigger me when the wrong cards show up
17:20 - 17:30 demon hunter didnt existed when baku and genn were printed (Also, the first start of game card is the one that puts 5 legendary minions to your deck)
DH on release was tier zero in wild, and yes, it was on Baku's back. I suspect that is what he meant but did not make it very clear. This is why he needs to distinguish when things happen. Unlike Yu-Gi-Oh, Hearthstone has two modes, and both change fairly regularly.
Great list! I think an honourable mention should go to Dredge for helping players with following the mana curve and its good for giving the player potentially better draws. Kinda fun too :)
Technically mega-windfury is printed on the tempest elemental, but it's an understated minion and only causes minions that have windfury to now have mega-windfury. Edited for grammar :)
im confused about the start of game cards, why are nozdormu the timeless and archbishop benedectus part of the list? just because they worked good with the strategies?
Probably used the wrong cards. Archbishop Benedictus should be Darkbishop Benedictus and Nozdormu the Timeless should be Nozdormu the Eternal. Both of these have Start of the Game effects.
HERES THE THING THO. crystal caverns rogue actually had a bad win rate after the first nerf, but it was so unpleasant to play against that they nerfed it again.
9:00 I'm gonna have to hard disagree here since those examples used are really powerful due to how they can thin your deck quickly whereas tradeable cards don't really do that (since they return to the deck).
Aside from the issues some people pointed out this list feels confused. Is it based on the power of the keyword in theory? Or examples of it? Because in a vacuum discover, charge, and mega windfury are likely the best by far. But with specific examples, or overall usage, rush, divine shield, deathrattle, and 100% BATTLECRY are the best.
With all of the jokes about Blizzard nowadays, it's worth remembering that they somehow singlehandedly created the most powerful NOPE ability in all of gaming history across all mediums. ICE BLOCK
I guess because it's strictly worse Charge The video only weighting the strength of the keyword itself instead of how strong the cards are with the keyword
Was Y'shaarj really considered the best at some point? I always thought he was the weakest is the Old Gods in that expansion. I know he worked in some decks at the time, but decks built around the other 3 were all better at the time.
It was the weakest when WotOG came out, but it picked up steam when Barnes was printed and Priest started getting more ways to cheat things out of the deck. Although nowadays it's completely outclassed by Blood of G'huun.
I remember it was really good in spell hunter when KaC released, since that deck would play only Barnes with Y'sharj so that you could pull it with Barnes on turn 4. But the deck itself wast even Tier 1 I think.
@@olmollmk6681 The only Echo cards that saw any real play were Warpath, Phantom Militia, and SN1P-SN4P, and none of those are played in Wild. All of the Echo cards were pretty underpowered, and it's a very limited design space.
How about top 10 cards that never get played directly? Examples: Kryxis is used in Deathrattle Demon Hunter, but only because the Quilboars can rip it out of our hand or deck. And Potion of Illusion wasn’t really a meta card until people started using Tortollan Pilgrim tocast it for you and constantly recycle it.
I think that Counter could have been on this list because of its consistency. Only two cards have had the Keyword, Counterspell and Okani, and both of them are meta relevant.
Can i ask editor something? At least listen what man is talking about. Nozdormu and Archbishop should be cards with start of game effect not other ones.

Also the wrong benedictus was shown. For atart of game
Wrong nozdormu and benedictus artwork too
Battlecry is by far and away the strongest keyword. Immediate impact trumps all. Over half of all quests (which you ranked 1) have BATTLECRY rewards.
True but the bbc effect card will always have the most girth
Seeing his reasoning for Discover, Battlecry wouldn’t place very highly because, despite the fact that many of the best minions are played for their battlecry, it also spans the widest breadth of doggy doodoo sub-filler cards.
I am so happy you are making hearthstone content. My favorite kinda evening these days is watching the top 10s

Damn it! You displayed the wrong Nozdormu at 17:07 . This one has a battlecry.
Edit: then the wrong Benedictus 17:37 .
why?
WHY?
Why so mad?

Should make sure the correct hearthstone cards are shown, Benedictus and Noz were the wrong versions. Great video tho love the background noise

That hour long quest video sounds great honestly.

Discover should have been first. It's the most impactful keyword that pushed hearthstone card design forward.
Imo start of game (and thus quests, since they always start in your hand) are the best keywords, since they are the most consistent.
10 mana 2/2 Mega-Windfury. Hand buffing. Emperor Tharsazan.
Sounds very bad

17:07 wrong nozdormu
"Mega-windfury was never printed on a collectable card" well well well, living mountain says otherwise
hall of fame existed way before baku and genn, they just wetre forced to hall of fame sooner than expected, also you got the wrong nozdormu card there
also the wrong benedictus
Now what keywords would you put in a top 10 Worst Keywords ? (Frenzy for sure...)
Inspire, Overkill, Honorable Kill, and Echo probably also make the list. I don't think there are ten actively bad keywords though.

Fun fact... playing the Kobold rogue with Neptulon actually feels like having mega windfury LoL....

Even a 1/1 minion with Mega Windfury would be broken beyond repair. Thats why Blizzard will NEVER print it on a card without some extreme restrictions

Nah, we all know that *Enrage* is the best keyword ever printed
Nah, it's the elusive *"you"* keyword.
